  1. I think it looks beautiful! And the smell must be awesome!
  2. YUM>>>that is going to be one stunning batch of soap!
  3. A STICK BLENDER is not going to work as well for you as a hand held MIXER or stand mixer will for a body butter, no matter what method you use.
  4. Orange Chiffon Cake Coconut Cream Pie Lemon Poundcake Homemade Apple Pie Summer Breeze Mix the first 2 together in equal parts to get the best smelling candle! I call it Dreamsicle....YUM.
  5. I DO love them! I also make them with pastel shades of clear Melt & Pour with a slice of loofah inside...call them Beach Feet. They are big sellers at the store I'm in at the NJ shore. Yours look super!
  6. Everything looks great! I make a CP soap foot scrub in those molds with poppy seeds...they sell very well in the summer time!
  7. It's great for a kitchen soap, and it's wonderful in candles in the summertime. Tomato leaves always remind me of marigolds...the raspberry tones it down some and makes it less pungent.
  8. It looks super! When I do mine (KY also) I use tomato juice for 100% of the liquid. Orange on the bottom, raspberry colored with poppy seeds on top.
  9. I love a creamy, dense lather, so I go for the stable lather all the time!
  10. and yours look super too! I just LOVE this scent!
  11. Thanks everyone. It's a great scent, no acceleration and no discoloration. And the blue specks are not jojoba beads, they're clay beads!
  12. They are ALL just beautiful!
  13. That's why I prefer the microwave method. With the crock pot, I tended to walk away and leave it, and by the time I got back, dried soap had accumulated on the sides and there was no way to get it to melt back in. With the microwave, After the initial 2-3 minutes on half power, I stir it down, then cover and zap in 15-20 second intervals, stirring down in between until it's all melted and at the right consistency. So the key is to stay right on top of it while it's doing it's 'thing' in the MW and the scraping and stirring down in between zaps.
  14. Spritz your soap shreds with liquid and toss like a salad with your hands. If you can, let them sit overnight with a lid on the bowl. Lightly misting should be enough...too much liquid, like a lot of sites say to use, will cause your soap to warp as it dries out.
  15. yes, it soaps beautifully! I soaped it with tomato juice as 100% of my liquid.
  16. I don't grease mine. Sometimes the soap comes out on it's own, sometimes it doesn't. Put in the freezer for half an hour then either let them 'defrost' on the counter or table UPSIDE DOWN...if the fall out...cool...if not, run hot water on the back of the mold then invert them and they should fall right out.
  17. I rebatch in the microwave. Shred soaps on a box-type cheese grater or KA attachment. Use a large plastic bowl with cover. Lightly mist with water or liquid...just enough to dampen the shreds and toss like a salad. Cover, microwave for 1-2 minutes on half power. Stir down, cover and zap some more in 15-20 second spurts until it's at a creamy, pourable stage. I removed some from the main bowl and whisked in some black oxide, poured back in the bowl in a few blobs in different areas, stirred once or twice through with the nylon spoon, poured into log mold. Here is the finished product:

  19. ABS can be shredded, zapped in the microwave to melt stage and molded individually or in a log and sliced. I have a customer who buys it in a 3 lb loaf to slice herself. I scent it with a bit of orange and a bit of coconut.
  20. It was a STEAL at the Buy it Now price of $50...even if the shipping was high.
