  1. Same here Kat! I live in west Texas where it gets up to 120! I have Been testing the Plastic Pellets4Fun scents in cars and no melting issues whatsoever! Just now started testing my fall line and one scent smells up and an entire office suite inside and the car fresheners have been showing great results!!
  2. What do you guys store your dried beads in? I’m getting ready for a craft show so i need To cure a lot of beads...just not sure how to store them once they are dry until I’m ready to bake. Any suggestions?
  3. You are so right Belinda! I feel Like I ‘m starting all over! I have Found with the PP4F beads if you leave them in the cutters to cool completely they are a little hard to get out of the cutters so i get Them out when they are still a little warm. The scent recipe of 1oz per 1cup of beads is working out great though!!
  4. Well I was using a lot less oil like they were the old beads at first and it was like they were holding on to the scent and wouldn’t let it go lol. I have Not baked any yet with the new recipe. I have Several batches curing and can’t wait to bake!! If they last as long as you say though i will Be placing a bulk order soon!!
  5. In my copper cutters that are about an inch thick i fill Them all the way up. I do Let them cure an additional 5 to 7 days (sometimes more if time allows) once they are dry.
  6. Kat what scents have you tested so far?
  7. I have Several batches soaking from PlasticPellets4Fun right now using an ounce of liquid per cup of beads! Man they will soak up a ton of liquid! Has anyone else baked them yet?
  8. Kat i have Also noticed that with my weaker scents like leather and vanillas i can Double scent them with the premium beads and it soaks it up just fine! Did you cure yours after they were dry? If so, how long?
  9. I find That their economy beads work better as sachet beads. Scent lasts much longer, they just don’t melt well.
  10. I’ve been using TCS because that one and Lone Star smell the most authentic to me but they just aren’t as strong as they should be. Maybe you’re right. Maybe it’s the beads. I’ve been using Plastic Pellets 4 fun and Natures Garden
  11. I think She uses the same one that i do.
  12. I live In Texas and leather is one of my biggest sellers for my aromabead car fresheners. I am Currently looking for a new leather scent. What’s your favorite? Looking for a super strong one!!
  13. It really has!! I even Bought one from another vendor at an event 2 days ago and put it in my car and the scent is already gone so i can Say it’s not just us (and I paid $13 for it!!!)! I really Enjoy making these and really hope i can Get this worked out soon!!
  14. Mine from Cajun didn’t even last a week. I had To bite the bullet and purchase from Bitter Creek. I am Still playing with the ones from Plastic Pellets for fun. They soak up really quickly (even leather) and have even soaked up double my recipe once they dried but i haven’t baked the double recipe yet!
  15. also, just another tid bit of info, they do soak up super fast, but i have Figured out that i can Add more oil and it will soak it up also. I havent Finished testing to figure out amounts yet, but they do soak up additional oil, which is cool
  16. Premium! The economy don’t melt well at all and take forever to soak!
  17. I’ve really liked them so far! I’ve tested them with a lot of scents. They bake well and even. Seem to last pretty well in the vehicles so far.
  18. I’m with you on that! They USED to be the best but hey aren’t anymore! They need to keep looking for another supplier lol! She claims it’s because I’m not using her oils. SMH i disagree. You can’t tell me her oils are any different or better from the bigger companies out there. I know She doesn’t mix her own because I’ve seen her post about getting new deliveries of scents in. Anywho. I havent Ever had an issue with my Cajun beads absorbing, they just don’t last. In a car in the summer, they may last a week, they may last a few days let me know how yours last. I’ve been gone all weekend so i cant Wait to get home and see how the new beads have done in the car over the weekend.
  19. Ok ladies may have some good news for us...maybe! Lol. First of all, Belinda, i found an ornie i made about 6 months ago with beads from AromaBeads online and opened it and it still smelled amazing! I even Put it in my husbands truck and it is going strong! Of course, it was made with the old beads!! I was Noticing they are very close to the current BitterCreek beads! Anywho, the owner of a plastic bead company contacted me about a week ago. He’s been trying to get into the aromabead business and the first bead he bought was terrible. Took forever to soak and baked at 200 for 20 minutes and melted very unevenly! So he contacted me to say he had a new “premium” bead if i wanted to try some. I tried some and here is what happened: i soaked Some black cherry. Even though it always soaks quickly, it soaked up within an hour i would Say. I normally let them cure for several days to a week once they are dry, but i was Dying to see how they did in the oven so the next day i baked Some. 350 for 10 minutes was perfect. They seem to be very similar to AromaBeads online. Here’s the catch! You can try 5 pounds for around $19 AND free shipping! Anyway, just thought i would Pass it on if y’all wanted to try them! He offers free shipping on anything under 250 pounds! Just be sure to order the premium aroma beads. The website is PlasticPellets4Fun! Let me know if y’all try any!
  20. Nature’s garden and Bitter Creek and both on the more expensive side but are both good quality. I am Thinking of switching back to one of these as well. Bitter Creek’s beads are larger than NG.
  21. No i havent Tried C & S. Cajun said they have not changed beads so it may be their wholesale supplier.
  22. I think They stopped making them
  23. Yes my large order of beads from Cajun appears to be the same beads as Aztec which suck! They are not lasting at all! The only scents that last with them are my usual two extremely strong scents, Black Cherry and cinnamon. I am Using my order from NG right now and will be ordering from BC again even though they are a bit more expensive. I’m just thrown for a loop here. There are only so many places to order from unless we go an unconventional route like an industrial bead meant for oil spills or something but i dont Know their heat resistance
  24. Yah she told me I was having issues because i wasnt Using their oils! I am pretty sure all the beads are not doing as well because they are changing to EVA beads, which don’t hold scent well once they are melted. I just Can’t figure out where to get a better bead and why everyone is switching. I’m assuming because they are more cost-effective and most people don’t melt them. It’s like once they are out in a vehicle the extreme heat zaps the scent right out of them
