I was too pissed to even try and save it, threw it away.
Ouch....that hurts!

How creative! I'll bet thats a good "wake me up" soap. Good job :highfive:

Burberry from SOS....both batches seized and riced...rebatched both batches and ended up with some nice soap but I would strongly suggest using only 1/2 oz ppoo with this scent.

What beautiful coloring! But then again you always do a fantastic job :highfive:

True story, MaryinCary's grandaughter (age 4) was suffering from skin problems. Dr. told her to switch soap (I forget what brand he recommended, but it had a ton of stuff in it). Instead, Mary ordered castile soap from me for her. Her skin cleared right up.
I told Mary "you can do this" and another addict was born!
Boy is that ever an understatement! LOL
My GD still uses Castile exclusively and has yet to have another break out (thankfully). Wonderful wonderful stuff....thanks again E!

Chiggers are nasty little red bugs that inbed themselves under your skin and itch like crazy. As a kid, we lived in Plano, Texas where there was lots of chiggers. One day, my Dad sat in a nest and got his "boys" infested with them. He came home in pain and barely able to walk, with the "boys" swollen and red. Someone told my Mom that to get rid of them, you covered the infected area with nail polish because it suffocated them and caused them remove themselves from underneath your skin. So as my Dad layed on the bed in agonizing pain, my Mother dumped nail polish all over this very delicate area. Apparently this was not a pleasant feeling. The boys do not like nail polish on them at anytime especially when you have little open bite marks it causes immediate pain. My Mother just paniced. She used the only thing she knew would remove nail polish, nail polish remover. This just added more insult to injury. LOL I was told you could hear the screaming for miles. That was over 30 years ago and to this day, I don't think my Dad has truly forgiven my Mother. LOL
OMG is that a funny story. Your poor dad!

I wouldn't change a thing...except trimming up the hearts. Beautiful background! :highfive:

Patience is a virtue my friend. When I pour rustics....as hard as this may seem, I pour the last layer and then wait at least 6-7 hrs before I start putzing with it. I have put them in the fridge to hurry up the cooling process and all I can say is sometimes it works...and sometimes it doesn't. You mentioned the freezer....I would suggest not doing the freezer as you are only doing a fast freeze on the outside layers and the inside is still hot. Hell, I thought using the refrigerator was pushing it. LOL
Slow down is my best advise..

I saw that too ....$6 for a 2# can...what a ripp.

I had that happen with a batch a while back. I did end up rebatching it and it turned out to be a nice soap. I'd give it a while on your curing rack and see how it goes.
-
Oh Guppygirl you are too funny. I can fully understand where you are coming from though. Thanks for the laugh

Right now my numbers are really close together and I get the creamy lather. I want bubbles.
Have you tried adding sugar to your lye water? I add 1tsp ppoo and get loads of bubbles....then again I use Castor in every batch too so it could be a combo of both.

Eugenia, would you mind if I just move in with you? You have so much knowledge in ALL the areas I'm exploring. The kids and I don't eat much....
Step aside Carol....there is a long line of budding B&B'ers waiting on E's spare room....you are way behind me lady
