Be careful of the Burberry from Save-on-Scents. It smells great, BUT I soaped it twice and it riced on me both times...rebatch time which also worked out real nice, but it's a bugger!

Looking good! If I get my batch in the mold by 10 AM it comes out by 10 PM unless it's a castile batch and then I wait until morning. If the mold feels cool and the top feels firm....go for it! Then post pics

does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the 2 layers exactly even??

If I wanted any of mine even which was seldom (I like the ramdom look) I weighed out the amount of wax that was going into the mold. You have to know how many ounces the mold holds and then just cut it in half.

I think the old "trial & error" will come into play here. What is considered "tried and true" for one may be totally different to another. I did a search for "massage oil" and came up with dozens of threads. Here are a few with massage oils within those results.

I have used j50 for a couple of years now and have never felt the need to switch to a different wax. I love the creamy texture, the throw is awsome (providing your using quality FO's) and it's easy to color. I use mainly LX or Zinc wicks.
