  1. Not sure what section to post this in. Has anyone delt with this company before. Any feedback about shipping time and customer service would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, SP
  2. Keep us posted on how they perform in your wax. I might just have to order some more...LOL SP P.S. Especially the Patchouli Raspberry and Issey Miyake. :-)
  3. Out the bunch, I have tested the Tibetan Black Tea.....I absolutely love this oil! I also love Enchanted Forest. It does fairly well in my soy wax but I will be testing it in paraffin next. SP
  4. If I remember correctly Bamboo threw very well for me. It wasn't a strong threwer as a bakery scent. I test with a 4 oz hex jar in my bathroom (8 x 10ft) and it was creeping out into my office. Its more of a spa type oil which flows smoothly. It could also be the wicks / wax combo. I tried JS Vanilla Buttercream crunch. In my regular wax it didn't throw that good. In GL 70/30 with Eco wicks, a bit better but not the "knock your socks off" throw that everybody has been talking about. I changed my wicks to cotton and what a big difference that made. It was travelling through out my home....oh yes I believe this one cured for a week or so. SP:cool2:
  5. I always keep mine covered. I pour into the mold and leave it alone until the next day. SP
  6. I ordered mine from Bitter Creek North and it smells wonderful. SP

  14. O.k. so when you make 11 candles at a time, how many pounds of wax are you using and how many ounces of oil. You have to make sure you are adding in enough oil and mixing well. Curing time all depends on the fo. I have some oils that will give me a great hot scent throw the next day some from other suppliers takes days and days. SP
  15. Hi Karen, Can you tell us what type of soy wax your using, the fo and at what temp you are adding your oils. Are you using a scale to weigh the oils? With this info hopefully someone can help you out. SP
  16. Canwax is in Mississauga. If your close by, you can go in and talk to SJ. She will help you out and get you started. She also has classes on the Saturday's. I think would be great for you to attend and get hands on learning. Here's the website www.canwax.com give her a call or email her. SP
  17. Well to do so your looking at spending BIG BUCKS. I'm not exactly sure but I think you have to Corp your business...turn into a Corporation and if there's someone in the U.S. with rights to the name, you might not be able to trademark....doesn't matter if it's in a different country. Your best to contact someone from the government. Here's the website http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/corporations Check it out or give them a call for more info. Hope this helps out a bit, SP
  18. Hi and welcome! I use El Mill Blend and have nice smooth tops when I pour at a lower temp.... around 100 -95. I can tell by just looking at the wax when its ready to pour. Good luck and have fun:cheesy2: SP
  19. I would go in and check. I bought mine at my local bulk store. It wasn't Bulk Barn but it was 1/4 of the size....so I figure they would carry it. SP:cheesy2:
  20. Do you have a Bulk Barn or health food store near you? I would check them out. They should carry it. SP:cool2:
  21. The HTPS work great in my paraffin but lately not in my soy blend. They were great when I first started using them in July but then I noticed a difference in the burning just before Christmas.......so here I go testing for new wicks. SP
  22. I had read about these on 2 other forums. I'm having a hard time with my HTPs and Soy wax at the moment....don't know if its wicks or wax, so I'm trying anything I can find....LOL It should be interesting and will post my results SP
  23. Sample kit. The customer service is wonderful and from what the rep told me, I will be getting a LOT of goodies. I've been reading some good reviews so thought I would give it try. Can't wait to get them and test. SP
  24. I started off with votives......worked on that for a couple of months and then moved up to small container's like 4 oz and so on. Move one step each time. I started back in July and now starting on 10 oz jars....which I really didn't want to get into right now, but I have a friend who keeps bugging (since Sept) me for larger jars. But I guess I have move on out of my comfort zone. Go slowly and you will do fine. SP
