  5. Thanks Trapp! I am going to at least try ,will post pics too. Hey your right I can at least say I tried right . I just do not have much experience with candies ,so I lack confidence .lol. I do agree it is fun trying new projects. I know it will take time for me to get this finished ,however I will keep you posted on my progress . I am going thru some container jars now to decide which ones I wanna use. I have some cute Lil Chrismas tart molds fir the embeds . I love helping people & you know I always get Blessed in return . I am blessed to have found this site 😉
  6. Lol.. You all are killing me with the oil mix up here .lol....Yes thinking the oils are getting to you all ,too funny 😀
  7. Yes! Yes! Absolutely Amazing! This is exactly the way I want mine to look using Christmas melts & colors. JC these candles you made are sooooo awsome . Thank you so much for sharing the pics . I will probably end up to embarrassed to post my results. I want to give this a try & I can at least say I did attempt to do so right lol. I certainly do not have the experience you & many others here have . I feel fortunate to at least have you all to demonstrate your success. I appreciate your post so very much . Thank you bunches Kat
  8. Never used mica ,sounds interesting. I will give this a try too.
  9. Your candle looks nice ! I may be trying to do something that's not possible ,wanting to get the embeds on the sides of the jar & make them visible as possible . I was planning to do Christmas theme melts for gifts . I am going to attempt to do this project according to Trapps method .I am excited to see her results . Thank you bunches ! Kat
  10. I use 4625 & never had this issue either .Sorry your having issues with the wax. I am glad the company is at least refunding you . I blend mine with 4630 for melts. I really want to try JC's blend ,sounds interesting .I see she post her tart blend is 4625& 4794 . I know you & I are always wanting to experiment with every blend we can get our hands on . I recently ordered more CW 129 ,as I always keep this one on hand for many fragrances.Kind of a must have wax for me kwim. I am going to order some 4794 to blend with the 4625 & see what results I get for melts. JC has many more years into this than I ,so going to give her blend a try . I am happy with the ones I use ,just like trying different blends .. lol...I think it has become a habit to order many different waxes to blend ,does get to be a expensive habit thou .. Kat
  11. A huge your Welcome!! ! I actually read about this company on the other post a while back ....I was having so much trouble with beads myself & decided to try these. Let's hope they work out for us. 😀
  12. I know yours will turn out perfect . I wish ya luck ,but you will do this I know .It's me that will need the luck . I am going to do my best so the shapes will show thru the glass .If this at all possible with my hand at it ...Lol I have seen pics of your gorgeous candles here on CS . I love the added touch with the melts on top. 😀
  13. Belinda I received my beads from Plasticpellets4fun . I love the fact they are the smaller type .The price is great too. I have some soaking now & excited to get results .I so want these to work out ,as the price is wonderful. This company ships speedy fast , received my order in 2 days ,packing was great as well ,so professional .Just wanted to let you know . Your right on the dye ,has not effected the scent at all for me either . I sometimes add alot to get the color I am wanting , especially black & navy blue .
  14. So true Pam!!! I have made some pretty darn silly post myself .Thanks, I don't feel so alone with this Lol 😉 You made my Day !!! Kat
  15. Trapp ,I know you can easily accomplish this project 😀 Lol....However me that's a whole new can of worms. I do not have near the experience or knowledge that you have with candle making. I am going to use your tutorial method & see if I can at least try... Thank you for posting in such great detail, will help me out a lot. I look forward to your finished pics. I will post mine as well . It will take me some time & I just hope I can keep my patience thru it all. The wicking seems to always be the big challenge for me with candle making .
  16. Well darn I sure thought I saw the white just last week ,when I placed my most recent order I was out of the red & just thought I noticed white in the liquid dye section. Thats good you found the powdered in white to use . I am almost sure that Candlewic has White liquid dye. You may be able to call them & get first class Shipping instead of their ground price .
  17. I am almost sure that Candlewic has White liquid dye. You may be able to call them & get first class Shipping instead of their ground price .
  18. WSP Another sale !!! Ocean type oils & other ocean type themed items are 20%off. I wanted to let you all know if interested . Looks like a chance to try some ocean scents with the discount of 20 off ,now will be the time to grab some samples ,or larger size favorites.
  19. I will pour test the WSP Apple Pie & let you know how this one turns out ,smells great oob. This one I plan to use year round ,however would make a great Fall scent . I was looking thru some of my oils & found a bottle of WSP Crazy caramel Corn ,need to put this one in the wax as well. I think WSP Hot Buttered Rum is great for fall. I had great results with this one .I will keep sorting thru the ones I have & get back with you. Sorry I do not have any from Bittercreek , would like to try some of their oils thou. I do not have much luck with Just scent ,so hope someone here can help you out on hers . I think I recall Trapp loving JS Farmhouse cider ,think that's the correct name . I just cannot get JS oils to work in my wax ,only a few had good results . I really like many from Flaming in the Fall selection .I get more hits with Flaming than misses kwim. Love most all of F scents 😀 Thier Apple Cinnamon is wonderful . I also love many from Frangrance Buddy . I will be in touch ,thank you Kat
  20. Yes it definitely has a over pour I read the entire tuturial as Sarah suggested & was wanting to experiment with the project for Christmas gifts . I do not sell candles & lack the confidence of ever doing so . I would like to make palm candles someday for myself & family . I have a long long way to go when it comes to candle making . I have made some with my container paraffin with good results ,took a while to finally get a few scents mastered lol.. I like chunk look candles & thought this was interesting 😀
  21. I love the look of palm wax candles .I agree this project would look very nice made with palm. The wicking is going to be the big challenge for me here lol...Gotta start with a plan thou right...
  22. It will be a challenge for me. I know Trapp can do this blind folded lol.... I will keep you posted & put a pic of my final finished candles . I know this will take time for me ,so be patient with mine .I look forward to making these for gifts . I know I am in for alot of testing that's for sure lol. Thank you bunches!!! Kat
  23. I meant Wimberley Wix ,same as you have it on your label .Sorry bout that just a typo error on my part .Adore the name you chose .
  24. Thanks Sarah ,Yes read the tutorial . I have not much experience with candle making lol. I make tons of wax melts & a few candles in my spare time .It is a huge dream of mine to master candle making with palm wax ,that's a whole new story I know right ? I saw Trapps post & want to make a few of these for gifts before the holiday season. It will take me that long to get the candles made properly . I am terrified of the thought to ever give anyone a candle that is not properly wicked . I lack confidence when it comes to wicking . I have mastered some candles with good results using 4630 . I do realize how much testing is involved when it comes to candle making . I appreciate having you all here to help me out when I have a question . I am planning to make the melt chunks with my reg blend & over pour with the 4630 ,wicking is going to be the big challenge here . The melts will be 4625/4630 blend ,same as I always use for melts ,over pour 4630, just not sure about wicking ,being the chunks will have 4625 ,never wicked this wax before . I have mostly used zinc wicks with 4630 ,seems to work out fine ,once I got the correct size wick with each container . I am going to give this project a try & maybe by Christmas I will have mastered a few for gifts..lol if I do not lose my patience. I know I will be going thru a ton of wax, wicks, jars during my trail testing . Thank you Sarah ,I greatly appreciate your response 😉 Kat
  25. Thanks Trapp, This project look so interesting & nice for gifts . The wicking is what will be the HUGE challenge for me...I have made candles ...lol for myself only for now using 4630 . I do blend for melts thou with the 4625 wax . I would be terrified to give away any candle that I have not tested for safety performance . I only sell wax melts atm... I am just not sure where to start with wicking this chunky piece of art. I thought about making the melt chunks ,same as I normally do, then do the over pour with my 4630 ...I really lack confidence when it come to candles . I was thinking if I start now with this ,just may get a few mastered before the holidays . I know I will have to test & test until I get the candles wicked properly. Thank you for your detailed response . I know you have alot of experience & your great at candle making . I know it takes time & tons of testing to master a whole line of candles as you have done . I admire your dedication & hard work . I am so Blessed to have you all to turn to when I hit a bump in the road with this wax journey . I will let you know how this is going . I hope to have a few made the safe correct way by the time the holidays arrive ..lol Wish me luck. The wicking is certainly going to be the biggest Mountain to climb here for me . Hey I gotta try right . Thank you Trapp!!! Kat
