  1. Mine are dark purple too... But you definitely have flexibility to choose with this one.
  2. Looks like art to me... Or maybe I'm a little delirious. We all have the flu here.
  3. Very cute! The monkey hanging from the M, adorable! Very fun!
  4. Oh, Oregon Trails Soaps is what you mean by OT, right? They have a fresh ginger lime. I'll check it out! Thanks!
  5. Yes, GC is wonderful. A good friend of mine sells their candles, and they're everywhere around here. Their Mulled Cider is another one of my favorites, and I have yet to find one I like as much (or at all), so thanks for the Alabaster tip! :highfive: I'm guessing that they would have alot of their FOs custom blended for them... but who knows. I do know she started in her kitchen, just like me! It's nice to see you Holly!
  6. GC describes their Ginger Lime with: Top Note: Sweet lemon, lime and tangerine Middle Note: Geranium, lemongrass Bottom Note: Cedar Musk
  7. Very Fun and Nice! I like the colors in the sage and eggplant one... My favorite colors.
  8. Yeah, my nose is stuffy today, but it's not smellin all that great. About as good as it looks. :rolleyes2 A citrus I really love, though, that I haven't gotten that fuel smell with is Sweet Serendipity from Scented Bean. Love it! It's grapefruit with black currant.
  9. I hear ya! LOL Mine from BnL (BCN) is coming monday. We'll see!
  10. This is a palm blend poured at 180 following supplier's recommendations into a 4" aluminum mold. Scented citrus. It looks diseased! LOL Wasn't worthy of a wick IMO. Guess next time I'll try hotter.... resizedpillar.JPG I've never posted a pic... I guess this is how you do it.
  11. Kaybee, I guess I was confused by the BCS website, because they say they welcome you to sniff Fo's while you're there.. but going back, you're right, they say that they don't have a storefront... I'm not sure how I got that in my head. Thanks for the heads up! I probably would of headed that way, only to be disappointed! We'll be travelling along all the southernmost states. Might swing up a bit, because I want to see Tennessee. My, texas seems to be the state for candlemaking!
  12. That might of been mine. Yup, I'm looking too. I absolutely love that GC fragrance. Ordered the BNL's, and I'll have to try JS's mojito. It might work for my nose if it works for some.. In an earlier post, Soya recommended Save on Scents concentrated version. Said it was strong, her strongest FO in soy. But I don't know if it's similar to GC's. I'll post if I find anything. Please do the same! I'd love to find this one.
  13. Thanks for the replies! Are there any more outside of Texas to visit?
  14. Alora Ambiance Candle Wick Trimmer Our wick trimmer is designed by Rubis, a Swiss company known for their dedication to creating high quality, functional instruments. Keeping wicks properly trimmed will allow candles to last longer and will prevent candles from smoking. The 90 degree angle on blade is ideal for container candles. $80 They're charging $80 for a wick trimmer. I think I'll add some accessories to my line...
  15. Got my peaks order today, and they threw in the lemon danish for me. OOOH, it smells wonderful!!! It's one I wouldn't of been drawn to, but it's yummy!! Can't wait to put it in wax.
  16. We'll be heading out from California, and going all the way to Florida. I have no doubt I'll be suffering chandler withdrawls, and will need at least a few FO fixes along the way! It's pathetic, but I'm negotiating with my husband re: what I can pack to make a few pillars while we're on the road. It's a hopeless situation. I'll for sure be taking some testers with me to burn.
  17. Yes, I just love them tiered and bundled in threes. Very nice.
  18. We're taking a cross country trip this spring along the south, and I'm really looking forward to stopping along the way to visit suppliers and sniff oils, etc. I've noticed that there sure are alot in Texas! I've written a few down that I know of that have shops/showrooms (ie. BCS, Taylored Concepts). But where would you all recommend I stop?
  19. lol... you guys made me get out of my seat and go get a tester back I gave to a neighbor! I was there when she lit it up originally, but I've been buggin to know how it's doing. I did promise she'd get it back later. I'm finding I would much prefer to do my own testing. There's just so much I need to see and smell for myself to truly test it.
  20. I poured my wax into my 3" pillar mold, sealed with aluminum tape, and was tugging at my wick to secure it in the centerer holder dealy, and up comes my wick. Came undone from the tape. Any quick fixes or do I have to start over?
  21. Oh, I really like that one. Fits the stoneway look a little better. Very nice.
  22. I did a baby shower recently, and made votives with JS Baby Magic in a very light pink. Smells just like the real thing. The flower pot holders are cute - that's what I used. Just be aware, the Baby Magic throws, and so it started to smell that way in the room Didn't blend well with the brunch we were having. They would make nice give aways.
