  1. Candybee, In retrospect, the fragrance in my successful candle was "Tobacco" from Aztec, and it's been a fragrance that's just amazing all the way around. I have been practicing with blending 6006 with some additional soy based on recommendations from this forum and you are so right! Much less sooting!
  2. Old Glory, I have always bought my wax from Aztec as I live in Nashville and the shipping is super fast. I haven't gotten deep enough into my last batch of 6006 to notice a difference, however, I don't think I'll be getting my wax from them in the future. The wax from my last order was directly in the cardboard box, unwrapped and uncovered. I am still picking dust and debris from the box out of it. I wonder if Aztec packs it this way, or if maybe it's come from a different supplier and they just ship as is. I've always gotten great service from them, but this has really been a disappointment.
  3. Roylaura, I have only recently started experimenting with this wax based on posts from this forum, so I do have limited experience. However, I have had some recent wins with the LX wicks as well. More specifically J223 with an LX 20, no color, 6 percent fragrance in a 16 oz wide mouth mason. The zincs definitly do well also, but I have definitly had a good outcome with this combination and am happy to finally be able to share a success!!
  4. Old Glory, what type of Soy do you add to your 6006?
  5. Oceangazer..the CD 8's seem to be doing well in most fragrances. Lately, I have been not coloring my candles just trying to get some consistency (impossible in this hobby I know) and the 8's do seem a bit hot in these candles. They could definitly use a downsizing
  6. That is beatiful!!! You are very talented and creative!
  7. I love number 2 and your candle is adorable!
  8. Oceangazer. I didn't get my comment in quick enough. Thanks for the info. I just never mastered soy to look decent. I have tried the 6006 with the CD 8's and so far so good. Aztecs Tobacco, Apple Jack and Peel and BlackBerry Sage all burning nicely in an 8 oz Mason Jar.
  9. Oceangazer, I'm using the exact same jar and formula, and although the CD10s and 12s are giving some amazing scent throw, they are burning too hot for me. I think I'll try the CD 7 and 8's also. Please keep us updated with your results! Thanks. FYI: Aztecs Pumpkin Caramel Latte is about to run me out of the house!! Amazing hot and cold throw!
  10. I love Aztec scents. I use primarily 6006, and Blueberry Cobbler, Lavender, Creme Brulee and Volcano hit the mark everytime. Also tried Honeysuckle recently and it's amazing, brings back memories of childhood.
