This is a great idea. But...I have a question about the shoe polish. Does it still stink real bad? My dad always used that to shine up his shoes and everytime he did I used to pick the can up and sniff it. What can I say...I liked the smell But anywho....Does that stuff still have a strong odor and does it interfere with the candles scent?

Hi Snow, Funny this was asked. YES you can. I just did last week. What I do is: Take egg and make a hole on 1 end with an ice pick Then put 2 pieces of egg together. For added assurance, I tape the egg together also. Then set the egg in sand or stones, anything that will keep it upright Pour cooled wax in and let it set up. I cooled my wax down quite a bit because I didn't want to melt the egg I had cute lil eggs. HTH:D

Hmmm guess I shouldn't tell ya's how good the Cucumber Mint and White Willow and Tea is then... Man they smell great......

I use Sweetcakes Bulgarian Rose. It smells so good. All my customers are going nuts over the scent on my wood roses. They all say it actually smells better than real roses scent....

Yes, Your wick will fall over. I love the wick stickers from The candlemakers store. http://www.thecandlemakersstore.com/product/WS100 They hold super tight. you can also use a hot glue gun. That works great too.

How in the WORLD do you cut up the wax that you receive in slabs??? Hammer works great . Awesome to take your frustrations out on your wax.... Votives are fun to make. Don't let them intimidate you. You can do it. Votive wick pins are the best. You will get the feel for it once you make a few. Since you are new to this I will say this since none else has yet… Catching wax on fire… "ALWAYS" Have baking Soda and a fire Extinguisher near your work area at all times. Never be without both. It can save a life or your home. Ask me how I know. I had 1 fire in my basement and that baking soda saved my house. Keep boxes of it handy. "NEVER EVER" try to put a wax fire out with water ..NEVER Using a presto pot is the best way to go. You have control over the temps. I feel so much safer using all 6 of mine. I'm a presto junkie LOL I hope to save tons of $$$ on gifts over the years... FORGET IT!!! You will not save any money… Making candles is not cheap by any means. In fact it gets very expensive. Then you get hooked on all the FO's out there and become a FO HO like most of us and there goes your bank account. LOL Most of all have fun with it. There is lots to learn. And this site is great for the info. There are alot of very experienced people here that are really nice and will try to help answer questions. I have been at this now for almost 7 years and I'm still learning new things. Good luck and have fun with it. Try not to pull out all your hair when you get flustered. It's therapy for me….I make my best candles when I'm upset….LOL

Hi Ya Empress, Yes these can make a huge soap, But no. I don't fill them full. I make a 4oz bar and stop. Thats what's cool about the molds. You can make them any size you want.

Noodle, Without looking at my slip now. I can tell you for sure the 1.6oz bottles in surplus went from 1.99 to 3 something. almost 4.00 I dont have the list now. But thats doubled. unreal I got mad a left the site.

Well I just went into WSP to reorder some of the exact same stuff I got 2 weeks ago. Guess what? Yup Prices are doubled on some. What a frigging joke. Ok The prices were low anyway, but that's not the point. I also love WSP but this just is not right. Have a gimmick of flat rate shipping, then raise the prices and think no one will notice? Well there goes 1 supplier off my list as of right now. This grinds my gears.

I need to tell ya. I just got 3 of their soap molds. Man are they nice. I am gonna post some of the pics from them. Prices are great on them too
