  1. LOL Nope they are good. Here is another thread that they were talked about http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47771&highlight=illuminations
  2. Hmmmmm Must try some of these on my man, Seems only thing that gets him in the mood is the good ole scent of Bucklure:undecided
  3. Hi Jenn, I can answer this 1. Yes you can. I just did 4 of them that way this weekend. I just put the glass in, poured just enough wax in to get it started. and once that was set, I poured the rest. Just use something heavy to hold your glass down in wax so it doesn't move on you. HTH
  4. Wow, very good tutorial Thank you very much Very informative and easy to understand.
  5. "So is that how it typically works? you start with one type of wick and work your way up until you find one that melts it all? Would that then change each time I used a different FO?" Yes, You need to test with every FO you plan to use. Each 1 can burn differently. As far as wicks and burning. Yes You need to try the wicks out and try to get a full melt pool. This star will need more than 1 wick. I can't really judge by picture alone. I have not gotten mine yet. So I will be in the same boat you are. Trying wick after wick. lol Hopefully not tho. They sure do look pretty. I had no clue what my daughter was telling me about them, then I come on here and there is a post about them. Cool. Good luck with them. I can't wait to get my hands on mine now....
  6. I use the candles & supplies embed wax. It works wonderful. You just have to do as mentioned above me. Pour cool. That's a good wax to use. HTH
  7. I buy them all the time. I have loved everyone so far but 2. And that's probably because I don't like that scent period. But I like them because alot of them are for gels too. Shipping is fast and customer service is great. Not to mention the good prices.
  8. Yes that looks like the 4oz I use. I got them from where bizzy posted the link... I love them.
  9. That bites. Doesn't Corning make anything anymore? Oh and thanx for that info
  10. Wow I didn't know that. When did that happen? And you know, that has happened to me. Not in oven, but I dropped a few and they just shattered in zillions of pieces.
  11. Well if the medieval peeps lived by the ocean, they would probably use sand?:undecided Like we do for our sand candles. How bout just digging a hole in the ground too? Would make for a dirty candle but....
  12. yup, I'm with Luci. I use Pyrex for pouring everything. I have every size Pyrex there is. They come in handy. And also if you don't want to warm it in oven. You can zap it with the heat gun. Works just as good. I always pour my clamshells at 160. i use what ever wax I have around for my clamshells at the moment. As long as it's a votive or pillar type. I usually mix a pillar with some soy to give it a creamier look and nicer melt. I never use straight paraffin tho. Just my choice...
  13. I love everyone. Awesome pillars.
  14. Yeh , smell a net would be awesome. They do look really good. Love the color
  15. Those are really nice. The pink is my fav too.
  16. No snippyiness taken Nope. I'm just as confused as you are, really... I just call mine a blend when people ask. They ask if it's soy. I say not 100%, it is a blend with soy... I don't really know what the real names would be... Just blends to me.:undecided
  17. Yup they are at the $ tree. My daughter is buying me mine from there. Hope you have 1 close by you.
  18. Lets get confused even more here. LOL You can also look at it this way with these To me all the 1's below would be the same thing. If they all have Soy in, then why can't you just call them all a soy blend? Why come up with different names for them all? Soy in a candle is a soy blend no matter how you look at it. why would a candle with paraffin in be called parasoy? Anything mixed is just that...A blend... Right? :undecided Soy Candle - A candle with any amount of soy in it. Soy Blend Candle - A soy candle blended with any other wax or additive. ParaSoy Candle - A paraffin and soy candle with any % of the two. Anyone more confused now? :undecided
  19. wow...... They are great. That chocolate looks just like fudge..
  20. WOW I'm with everyone else. I'm hungry for birthday cake now. There should be a warning in your title. That is just beautiful. I would never use it.
  21. I used these scents in 4 waxes J223 Palm 3 4761 Soy They did well in all 4. And I only use 1oz per lb
  22. I just put his Keylime Pie in wax. WOW!!!!!!!!!! It rocks. I am in love And his English Ivy is just as great too. I have been trying so many new 1's from him. So far I loved everyone. I like the customer service with him too. And super fast shipping. His prices don't hurt either.
  23. Wow Anne, Candlewic is so much cheaper for the same wax. They are only 12.00 for 10 lbs You would be saving 7.90 per 10lbs if you go with them. It's good wax. Wow and candles & supplies wants almost double for a case. Cripes.
  24. Well, I thought I would ask Arnie from candlechem if he knew what was up with pourette. This is his reply to me. We do carry the Reddig Glo color chips from Pourette...Not sure if they are out of business or not...Phone number is disconnected...I have an outstanding order pending from 2 months ago and never received...Not sure what is going on with them. Thanks I think this stinks. By not letting their customers know what is up sure shows what they thought of all their customers huh?
