  1. I just received a sample of this, and it really does smell OOB like chocolate + suede. Very unique.
  2. Lyschel will probably warn you, but you have to wick up quite a bit with this oil - it is HEAVY. I never got the wicking quite right, but I'm going to have another go at it this fall. I second this...they are pricey but totally worth it. Beware the Sultry Angel, it is incredibly strong!
  3. CC is my favorite scent supplier. Very high quality oils and some unusual fragrances, which I prefer - Solace, Lime Cilantro, and Rare Earth are my favorites of hers.
  4. Try Gateway, I've heard they're great to work with. Their site says they are in Dupo, IL. http://www.gatewayfoodproducts.com/
  5. Discounting water makes less shrinkage over time. If you are packaging your soaps with bands around them like a lot of people do, and your soaps shrink too much they can eventually fall out of the bands.
  6. When I first started, I used the C-3 with 4" apoths like you are doing. I found I could single wick with the ECO-14's but the mushrooms were horrible. I'd suggest double wicking this size jar. HTH
  7. Another one to try is Lait Sucre from The Scent Works. It smells very much like sweetened condensed milk.
  8. Wick Your Wax's S&C is dead-on. I can't tell the difference between theirs and the "real" one.
  9. She's using SLSa, not SLS.
  10. Oops, sorry, didn't even look at the size, LOL! :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse
  11. These are similar, though not exactly the same. http://www.yessupplyco.com/montana_jars.htm
  12. Thanks for the recipe! I've been trying to make foaming bath bombs, so I will definitely be giving this a try!
  13. I used to use them exclusively until I started making candles. They are pricey, and their website is in MAJOR need of an overhaul  , but I've had excellent results with their oils in both soap & candles.
  14. Infused alkanet root makes blue to purple color in CP, depending on the pH of your soap.
  15. I second TSW Belgian Chocolate! It sticks very well in CP soap and is oh so yummy.
  16. I've used Sweetcakes' True Rose and it is fantastic - OOB, in CP soap, and in soy. ETA: No powder smell whatsoever.
  17. - And he bears a strong resemblance to Jeff Goldblum.
  18. If you are making container candles, you should not have to add stearic to soy.
  19. I get both of those from Wholesale Supplies Plus. I always get my stuff very quickly. However, some people think they overcharge on shipping, so you might want to get a shipping quote first.
  20. You can try this link: http://www.emporiumnaturals.com/default2.asp?cat=Herbs
  21. Candles = Solace, from Candle Cocoon Soap = Cedarwood Mint from The Scent Works And I thought I'd mention that Goddess from Old Mill makes a GREAT shampoo bar! Leaves your hair smelling like, well, a Goddess
  22. I started using just natural colorants a while ago. I think they have an earthy appeal and that works for the product image I'm aiming for.
  23. Fire, I just sent a payment to Outlandish so the site isn't down.
  24. That crack is pretty characteristic of C-3, which I used to use. And I'd advise against pouring C-3 cool, from the research I've done you are supposed to pour it hot. I'd just heat the top with a heat gun to smooth it out.
  25. It's definitely M&P, judging not only from the ingredients list but I've used some and that stuff melts FAST, lol.
