I have a sample of the Palm tree...was gonna try it but now maybe I'll just soap it.

Thanks stella...I have some CD 10 and 12's so I will have to try one of those. I also have some CDN's I got for testing so I'll try the 12 in there first.
I really like the CSN wick I put in there but dang that flame is large....no matter how much I trim down it is still big.
-
OK I am testing the CSN wicks from CS and WOW is the flame big.
Even if I trim the candle to a nub the flame is still big. It is not airpockets I dont have any of those for sure...
What other wick would be good to try in the 9oz hx type jar?? I have CD's anyone know a size I could start with??

Yep...I got the sugared corn pudding one in a tart from Vickey...YUMMY!! I still need to make my crock pot full of beans and homemade baked sweet cornbread.
I hope she sends me a tart of the zucchini bread one this week!

Thanks Catlin....I poured two testers today...Spruce tree (Peaks) and Spiced cranberry (KY oils my mix)
I wrecked the tops again...will take pics this time. I just have to heatgun the tops when they cool all the way.

I test burned the GG palm candle I made last week. The candle burned nice...no FMP on first or second burn but that is OK. I like the wick I used so far and NO AIR POCKETS so far...
BUT the FO I used I cannot smell....it was CS lavendar,cucumber,sage...I dont know if it is me or if that scent just wont throw in palm...
So I am gonna make another and need to use something that throws in the GG palm....either from KY or CS....suggestions anyone?? Maybe Pumpkin Souffle??

The Elf Sweat is good in the 464/palm mix I did. It took about 5 days to cure good. At first I thought it was not good and I waited a few days and tried again...it is a keeper for me!!
-
I have that 16 bar mold too and I do 60 oz's in mine.
-
and just when ya think ya got it.....its gonna get COLD and everything will change!! You will get it though...
here it is pretty cool in the mornings...like 50's and we have the windows open and no heat on. I have been lighting my testers EARLY to get an idea of how they will do in cooler weather....
-
It is not recommended....by Jason at GB to use beeswax in the 464...dont ask me why but when we first tested this wax that came up and it was pretty much agreed that beeswax dont work.
cant comment on C-3 but Stella seems to do just fine with the stuff.
I dont think ess oils work that great in candles anyway....IMO.
One other thing....how long are you curing the candles before burning them for HT??

This is the first time so maybe it is something new she is doing. I hope she keeps it up!! I think it is a good biz move for sure. I plan on doing the same thing...when I have customer orders to fill I will put a tart in of some new FO or something I think they would like to try...I think it can help sales.
