Yes it is Scented...I ordered a sample from NG so if that is not good enough I will check them...thanks!:smiley2:
-
I ordered the Elk Sweat....couldnt resist that one.... It is not here yet though.
-
Is this anywhere near the one The Scent Works has?? I am going to use it in CP soap and body spray....anyone know??
-
I've tested my batches, they are M&P, what's the problem? :tiptoe:
Just cause it is MP does not mean you wont have problems...especially if you are adding stuff to it. It is not as easy as melt, pour and sell...
-
Soo you just started making soap and you are selling???? Why am I not suprised....:lipsrseal

Thanks Tootie..I'll throw in a couple of CD's to test. They might perform better in this mix for me than they did with straight 464. When you said Eco's (for you) consumed too much wax..would possibly being causing my poor HT?
it is possible...I dont know ,but the ECO candle was done way before the others so I settled on the CD's. I like them and they work for me.
-
the 464 is not a bad idea...just test the 6006 alone first. Bug helped me alot when I was doing this...15% is OK and should not even change your wicking....I used CD's and CDN's when i tested this. I had no luck with ECO's they consumed the wax too fast.
-
Try CD 10 or 12 in place of the CD8....I use a 10 or 12 in my 3" tins with 6006.
I dont use glass so cant help ya there.

I don't know what's going on, I have gotten a few pm's but I can't respond as my limit on PMs has been reduced. :tiptoe: :tiptoe:
I am not suprised...I'll PM ya from outer space....:lipsrseal

I do the same as debra....85% 464 and 15% paraffin I have also tested everything from 15% to 50% paraffin and found that I like the 15 to 20% the best.
I use 1 to 1.5 oz FO depending on which one I am using.
I really think the paraffin helps boost the HT and CT in the 464.

Her tart wax seems expensive though. How do you price them to make any money??
If you are gonna do alot of tarts the best way to get the best price is order 200lbs and get the UPS discount. I do sell mine for 1.25 per OZ when I sell them.
-
I use the KY parasoy wax and no I dont get any white stuff....I have some tarts that are about a year old and still look GREAT!! I live where it is HOT too...
-
Me? I'd bump it up to the CD 14 and see what happens.
I agree...dont waste your wax on a CD 10 in the 8oz tin..it is not gonna be enough.
-
KY hands down the best.
-
75/25 with 4630/464
80/20 with 6006/464
Both GREAT HT and CT
It takes alot of patience and testing to get a mix you like...but once you find it...well it is the best of both worlds.

The OP's list needs updated in a big way....lots of those places are out of biz.
-
When I used them I used the 2oz ones and they hold right around 1oz of wax.

I'm not defending KY; I don't feel that's necessary; KY's reputation speaks for itself. I'm just stating my opinion of this supplier based on my personal experience.
Everyone is different ... there are some that feel very strongly about upfront shipping ... so much, that without it, the sale could be lost. And based on that, I agree, that from a supplier's perspective, it would be wise to update the website.
Personally, when it comes to this supplier, it's not an important feature to me. Yes, it would be nice, but not necessary. I'm quite happy with KY's website as it is ... but that's just me.
Ditto...I always email her if I need a shipping quote....she gets back to me same day usually....the OP lives in WA state....you will do best with ordering the 200 lbs....shipping is cheaper that way.

Well, I think the double wicks are pretty when wicked right, BUT I am NOT doing them....no way!:lipsrseal

KY's is GREAT in soy!!
-
I still cant get on the site... :angry2:
-
on glorybee's web site????
-
If you can find my thread on mixing 6006/444 or 464....that may help you some.
I will be playing more with mixing soy and 4630 when we get into the house.
I also really like the 6006 alone.
-
I call mine parasoy blend...and I like the 4630 for mixing too.
how much fo do you use per lb of soy wax
in Vegetable Wax & Beeswax Candle Making

I use 6-8% most of the time. I try to stick with 6% and like Stella said, if it dont do it then move on to another that will throw in soy.
