  1. That sounds reasonable. Has anyone ever remarked whether it was an awesome freebie or not enough?
  2. Can anyone tell me what hostess incentives partylite offers their hostess' for parties? And for bookings? I cannot find a basic guideline on what to offer for parties. I am trying to compare different companies and I am having a hard time finding any. Can anyone help me out with any companies hostess rewards program? Thanks Tracy
  3. Do the little compartments separate and come off or will they have to put their nose to the compartment? I really like this, it's perfect. I ended up just replacing a few of the tins in the watchmakers case with aroma beads. I wish I would've thought to melt them (nice idea). I am still looking for the perfect sample case. I like the tealight boxes on the getorganized site but my problem with that is that they are not closed off separate compartments so at one point they will all take on each others scents. Thanks for all of the great ideas everyone. Tracy
  4. When you are making your candles, is it hot outside and no air in the area where you are making them? I find on hot days with lots of humidity to not even attempt to make candles without the air on. I have tried several times to make candles without air (it was broke) and the candles, every last one of them, looked like POOP!!!
  5. I wonder why these don't work, though. I mean, if we pour t-lites, the t-lites hold their scent, why not these? I am going to try crushed corn cob, scent and put in the tins. Or use a melt. I dunno. I've been promising my rep these and then I fell all accomplished and then I hear that!!! Back to the drawing board!! Man!!! This really bites!! :lipsrseal Oh what fun it is to own your own candle company!!!! Tracy
  6. I was picturing something like the aroma beads also, I don't necessarily have to have wax in the tins. I think I may do that. I like the tart idea, but I have 91 scents and I think that would be too crowded, I dunno, maybe I'm wrong. It's worth a shot, though. I especially like carrying the other samples in their as well!!! I am just so bummed, after all of the work, gone-just gone. Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. Most likely will try both ideas and see which one works best.
  7. I use the watchmaker cases that have the tiny tins in them for samples and I made 91 samples, half of them don't have a scent. I did 3 sets of these and used the wax that I use for my candles. I sent them to my sales rep and she says you can't smell them. I tried mine and wouldn't ya know it, half of them don't smell!! Any ideas? Is there something that I could saturate with FO and put in the tins to keep the scent but not look tacky? What about styrofoam, I wonder if that would keep a scent. I AM SO MAD!!!! I spent too much time on those and printing the dang labels for them not to work. I used 100% soy wax and Soy/Paraffin blend. It depended on what I was making as to what I used for the samples. Thanks for any help!!!! Tracy (I know, I went smiley crazy)
  8. http://www.paperzone.com/Crafter_Corner/cornerboxes.htm Try here. T
  9. Mine is "Candles Soaps & Stuff", basically because that is what I sell and I am the worst at names. Let me give you prime examples - I started out making gift baskets, company name - "Baskets & Stuff" My dog's name was "Chow" (guess what kind of dog he was) My 1st son's name is Darren (yep, after his daddy) My 2nd son's name is Zachary (ran out of alphabet, so "Z"achary it was) I like it, because it doesn't limit me to anything, and when I open my retail store, I can sell whatever the heck I want in it, because "stuff" pretty much covers it all. And when I look, alot of people have the words, stuff or such at the end of their name. But mine was first!!!! I could've gone with Candles, Soaps & Beyond. But they would of thought of BB&B or worse, Light Buzzyear!!!!! Anyway that's my story. Tracy
  10. I do not trash anyone elses products. I feel I don't need to. I feel my product is of superior quality and so should my professionalism. I have only tested one other candle since making candles and it was a Yankee. I do not try others candles, so if they are real bad, I don't have the thought in my head. That man is a very poor businessman and your mother walking away probably didn't even register with him how poor he is. That's the problem, he just doesn't get it!!!
  11. I use most of Scents for Soy FO's and they all do awesome in soy for me. Even the Clean Cotton, Northern Star and Sweet Pea. Actually the Clean Cotton and Northern Star are 2 of my top ten sellers. I just added 3 of her scents to my line Lantana Flower White Tea & Cactus Plum & Vanilla All 3 of these are awesome, my new favorite is Plum & Vanilla!!! She sent me a sample of Salty Sea Air and I didn't think that I would like it, but OOB it is awesome. I need to get it into wax still. I would say you cannot go wrong with her oils throwing in soy for you. She's done her homework. HTH
  12. Yeah, so now there's two of us wonderin'!!! Come on peeps fess up!!!! I searched the archives and even did a search online and didn't come up with anything useful. Pretty Please, can you help us????
  13. I tried to do a search in the archives and can't find anything. Does anyone have a contract that they have their sales reps sign? Thanks for any help at all. I appreciate it. TRacy
  14. I currently use the 4" shrink tubing for my "everything"!!! I use it for votives, melts, and t-lites!! I am looking for 3" shrink tubing, I think it would fit the votives better and not have so much extra left on the votive. I want "The perfect fit". Does anyone have a supplier for 3" tubing? Thanks Tracy
