Hi I bought a waxer melter and today I used it for the 2nd time. In the instructions it said you can leave the unused wax in there and just heat when ready to use again. Today was the 1st time I melted the wax that was left and it worried me that constant heating and cooling of the same wax would affect the wax. Can it? Im using 464. Many thanks Nicole

I had a strawberry candle sitting on my chest of draws in my bedroom and it had ants all over it...I thought it might be the sweet strawberry smell that attracted them? Its the only ant problem Ive had. I did sprinkle ant sand behind my chest and Ive had nothing since. Bummer you had to throw it out

@vernie1 Ive just starting test burning them and I have to say Im not liking it. There is huge wet spots and the flame is really high, it reminds me of paraffin, the tops are really smooth n glossy, which is really making me think there is paraffin in there? Comparing the 2 soys I much prefer 464 @Imc....thank u, im in australia and most USA companies wong ship here. Sadly the 2 main wicks here are htp n cdn, I did order some ecos from Flaming Candles in USA and I really love how its working in 464....so I think Im sticking to 464 8% fo with eco's

Sadly I had to scrap my palm container candles I made a few weeks ago, the wicks I had, cdn & htp just didnt do the job...back to soy

I use 464 and its supposed to be dry, in all my bags I have bough its never wet or sticky, its completely dry. I think you have a bad batch of 464.

I have been pulling my hair out for months with the same issues as you....here is what I have learned. 1. I now add 10% paraffin to my soy 646 as it eliminates the frosting 100%, makes the tops smooth as a babies bottom and lets me add a tiny bit more fo for a stronger throw. 2. The hotter I pour the better the candle comes out, I really have tried to pour cooler as its always recommended to do so, but with me they come out horrible, so I do not wait for them to cool right down. 3. I now place all my candles in the oven after I have poured them, once all in the oven I turn it on to 50c, leave for 2 hrs then turn off. I let them sit in the oven all day, even over night. The reason why is it seems to eliminate wetspots due to me adding paraffin...but geeze they come out perfect. I also want to add, im in australia and this is what works for me and my climate. Have loved candles most of my life and recieved some bday money in November, so thought why not buy some candle making supplies and have a go myself. Are you married? Any kids? Yes 23yrs, g21, g18, and b16 If candle/Soap making isn't your primary job, what do you do? Im a bear artist, have a home business making bears for 7yrs now. Going to add some candles to my table at shows I do. Anything else we should know? Im just a sahm who is battling lupus and various other autoimmune conditions and trying my best to do the things I love so I dont go insane

Thanks so much Vicky My 1st candle was with CDN 20 and it was just too small, didnt burn to the edges and was mush. So Im guessing a different brand of wick might be needed?

Hi Im new to the site and candle making. I have been reading all the posts for weeks trying to gather information in helping me. My question is.....Ive been testing a candle FO Baby Powder. The 1st 3 burns smelt wonderful filled the room with each burn, but the last 2 burns no smell, and no CT either. Why did my 1st 3 burns work and now nothing? Oh each burn time has been 5hrs and using CDN 22 in a french metro jar, 10% FO, 464 wax, cured for 10 days. Thank u Nicole
