@Karen Ov Trying to come up with something different for a shop that uses flamingos, crystal chandeliers, pink flowers to decorate. If this doesn't work, I will just paint Ball jars pink.

Do you mean painted the jar? I spray paint all my candle canning jars. I have not tried the glass inks as I think that would be very expensive even if it would work.

Sold, but I don't know how to delete.

I am at a point where I don't think I will test any new fragrances, sell just my best sellers (if I can still get them), and be done with the stress. May even stop making candles after I use up the 150 lbs. of C-1 I have patiently waiting to get used.

I have 45 lbs. of C-3 wax flakes for sale. I ordered C-3 and C-1 to try and decided to go with the C-1. Looks like $35 would be about half the retail price. If interested, send me your zip code so I can give you an estimate of shipping cost.

Have you seen the electric kettles used for beer making?
This one should hit my doorstep any time now.
Electric Turkey fryers around thanksgiving are also quite popular.
That looks interesting. Do people usually fill it all up and use as needed, reheating each time? Or heat up what you think you will use each time?

I hope this is ok to share. I saw this on Facebook recently. It is a Bath & Bodyworks candle. The consumer says the wicks were in the center when purchased but migrated to the sides after second day of burning for two hours. The wicks are not attached on the bottom. Company just keeps saying "we'll look into it".

if I remember right Moonworks pinion pine was the same thing so I guess I need to see if pfo carries it 🤷♀️
What is pfo? If Pure Fragrance Oils, I am not finding it on their website.

US Candle Supply just got more in. Not sure how their price compares to others with shipping.

Side note: I can get beautiful smooth tops; but when I poke a shish kabob skewer all the way to the bottom (about 1/2" from the wick), I often find holes. I cool in front of a fan and pour around 110 but plan on going even lower until I get this perfected. Until then, I will continue to poke holes through those beautiful tops.
Welcome to the craziness!

Midwest yes.
C1, nooooooooo. Pouring that hot I only ever got cavities within cavities that made other little cavity babies, lol. I still pour that beast about 105*.
LOL, thank goodness! That is what I am doing. . .about 105.

I now heat to 185 (often a little higher ) and add fo at 170 or above. I’ve been pouring after a couple minutes of stirring with excellent results including better HT and smoother overall candles.
Is this just for Midwest? (Pouring right after stirring.) Are you also doing this with C-1?

If the cd16s don't work, I can send you a few different sizes of Premier wicks to try.

Do you have any cd16s?

Is this a new bottle of Christmas Tree? I hope Filmore hasn't changed its oils.

UGH! So might as not buy a sample pack of any wick to test as they may be different from a 100 pack.

@sarahmarah Hmmm. . .I might try making a few clamshells with the C-3 to see if the bubbles still appear. Is it just the appearance of the bubbles that bothers you or is the performance of the candle affected by the bubbles?
LOL Hey, I already go through all that with any/evert soy I've used. Poking holes. . .I'm so afraid of selling something that might not be safe.

I’m almost done with a 50lb of c3 I got last year and I’m weighing out if troubleshooting the champagne bubbles is worth getting another one or jumping ship to something else 🤦🏻♀️😂How do you like c1?
I do like the C-1. Is it hard getting a good hot throw with C-3? I ordered both to begin with last year but didn't give C-3 much of a try. Are the champagne bubbles the only drawback? Do they go all the way through the wax or just on top.

@sarahmarah I have 50 lbs. of C-3 that I need to do something with one of these days. I may be calling on you for help.

Congratulations! We are all so fortunate to have you sharing the knowledge you have gained over these ten years with us.
We all miss things as our children grow up. But it is amazing what children remember from their childhood. Not that first step, first word, of course; but that you showed them how to plant vegetables, that you took them with you to the voting booth, that you read to them or showed them how to put a worm on a hook, or how to make a bar of soap.

@TallTayl Ok. I started wondering if this is the way it SHOULD look, and I've been doing it wrong this whole time. 😏 My cooling wax doesn't usually get very cloudy even at 120. But I will add your suggestions and keep an eye out for that island.

@TallTayl Does this crystalization affect the finished candle performance?

Have you ever poured wax that has the consistency of Cream of Wheat? I'm using C-1soy and had gone thru all steps up to pouring but had to reheat a bit. So I stuck the pot in a low oven just to get the wax that was starting to solidify on the bottom of the pour pot to melt. No big deal; I can get it back to a cloudy liquid. But wondered if this thickness would eliminate air pockets and turn out being a good candle. I tried attaching a photo but get error message.
