Which scents are you looking for?

The specific scents I need are Almond Pastry, Holiday Sparkle, Winter Wonderland, Old Towne Bake Shoppe, Grandmas Swinging Egg Nog and Cookies for Santa. All the rest of Peaks scents that I used I can probably get else where but these are the main ones I am on the hunt for.

KFintoni if you sent them 34 samples are you saying they are going to dupe them all for you?  Are they doing this for you without you ordering like a huge amount like 10 to 25 pounds of EACH scent?

They are not being duped just for me. He asked people what they would like duped and of course many spoke up. Of course I did not have samples of what I was looking to be duped specifically but if my samples help someone else out then all is good. I do believe he said on Facebook that some samples have already been sent out to be duped. He has not said how many he plans on carrying at this time.

I know that A LOT of crafters have generously offered samples to Maple Street Candle in order for them to dupe.  I don't know the time frame for that process, but I am hopeful at this point (or at least trying to be). :)

I'm still trying to find a replacement for Tennessee's Pumpkin Pecan Waffle.  Has anyone found a close replacement for this yet?

I actually just sent 34 one ounce samples to Maple St today for duping.

  4. Hi all so since my last post about Peak was tremendous I figured I would start another. I just got my first order of scents to start testing for replacements. I have ordered from Indiana Candle, Elements, Wellington, Rustic Essentials, Bittercreek and The Chemistry Store. My order of Indiana came today: Almond Pastries, Holiday Cookie, Christmas Past, Christmas Wreath. Christmas Kitchen, Harvest, Glazed Cinnamon Donuts, Fireside and Sugar Cookie Dough. I was really hoping the Almond Pastry was gonna be close as it is the only place with it listed as the same name and it was not close at all. Of course I have not put any of these in wax but OOB they are not even close to what I needed from Peak, Almond Pastry, Cookies for Santa, Grandmas Egg Nog, Holiday Sparkle and Winter Wonderland.

Maybe people can continue here with their replacement testing orders and thoughts.

  5. Good morning everyone,

So long story short my computer crashed and I lost EVERYTHING. I am slowly trying to rebuild my library on my computer. I remember having a spreadsheet of fragrance oils that I downloaded off the web somewhere. It was an editable excel or google doc that had multiple pages of fragrance oil companies. Does anyone here know where I could find it or have a copy they could send me. Every day I am realizing things I no longer have on my computer and it is heartbreaking. I went to look at it in trying to find Peak replacements and realized yup that was lost too.

    Thanks,

So my question is Holiday Sparkle like? I have seen the name out there I THINK! But help out on a description if anyone can.

    Scented here is the description.

An enchanting blend of spruce, apple cider, cranberries, and plum form the top layer of this jovial scent. Grapefruit, mandarin, cinnamon, and clove notes intertwine to rejuvenate the holiday spirit in all of us, as the light essence of vanilla beans and musk provides a delicate finish. Get ready to sparkle and shine at all your Holiday celebrations with this fragrance!

I think I have an extra 2 pound bottle of Holiday Sparkle. I just did oil inventory in light of this bad news but am at work and my inventory spreadsheet is on home computer. Peak was being so flaky that I WAY overbought as things became available over the last few months. Shipping may be steep but I would certainly sell it for less than what I paid.

I will take your two pounds of Holiday Sparkle. You can send me a Paypal invoice to hiwaytrk09@aol.com if you want.

I'm down to 2 scents from Peak and Patch is one of them.

    -Almond Pastry

-Amish Harvest- Rustic Escentuals has one by the same name

-Banana Nut Bread-The one from Candle Science and Cajun are good replacements in my opinion. Also, Banana Walnut Cake from RE.

    -Birthday Cake

    -Black Canyon

    -Botanical Orchard and Nectar

    -Cinnamon Balsam

    -Cookies for Santa

    -Freshed Brewed Coffee

    -Home for the Holidays

    -Lavender

-Lemon Pound Cake -Candle Science version smells very close OOB. Have not put it in wax.

    -Ocean

    -Paris Twilight

    -Patchouli

    -Twilight Woods

-Wild Mountain Honey - TT - I use the one from brambleberry.

    -Winter Wonderland

I love the Patch from FIllmore. Has anyone used the Winter Wonderland from Wellington, is it similar?

  9. Here is my take on it and I carry Cinnamon Broom, Cinnamon Buns and Red Hot Cinnamon. I think of the Cinnamon Broom as more of a Dry cinnamon scent if that makes sense. Very similar to the cinnamon scented items you might find in a gift shop. The Red hot cinnamon is more of a spicy cinnamon like the burning red hots I used to eat as a kid, not sweet but "red hot" almost fireball ish. Obviously the cinnamon buns has the pastry added to it. I have also used the Cinnamon Stick from CS but now use the Broom from Fragrance Buddy,  I hope that helps a bit. Spending the day today looking for Peak replacements.

  10. Okay so I guess I will be the first to start this. I did not use a ton of fragrances from Peak but the ones that I did were best sellers. Now I guess I need to hunt them down. The ones I used a lot of were: Amish Harvest, Almond Pastry, Cookies for Santa and Winter Wonderland. I have tried a few other ones looking for a dupe of the Winter Wonderland but was never successful. Can we share what we are looking for and maybe any suggestions on replacements?

  11. Hello to all you super creative people. I need some help with a name. I ordered Sweet Bakery Dough from Indiana Candle and it is so yummy but I need a name for it. I am not crazy of the Sweet Bakery Dough. I already have a North End Bakery, I am in MA and I use Old TOwne Bakery from Peak for that. Here is the description.

A sweet, warm bakery dough type, with top notes of buttery cream, a milky caramelized burnt sugar middle-note and a powdery, sweet confectioners sugar bottom note.

Thanks for any help, my mind is mush today.

  12. Good evening,

Has anyone here ever offered drop shipping? I have a wholesale customer that would like to offer drop shipping. I am a bit miffed on the best way to go about it. Would you be willing to share how you all do it?

  13. So yes I know I have way too many fragrances but i guess I need to start using them. I found a bottle of Lemon Squares that had sucked in on itself and split right up the side. I then had to make 6 pounds of Lemon Squares so not to waste the FO. Now we are going through each drawer of FO and relieving the pressure in each bottle by opening them a bit. Now I have to make cherry amaretto as that split also. This is why I love the FO from Fillmore in the glass bottles. The Lemon was from NG in a solid white bottle and the cherry from TCS in a clear plastic bottle.

What a mess this has made. Done venting now carry on.

  14. Hello everyone,

I am in need of some G 70 Olde Tyme Lids. I usually get all my lids from Fillmore but they are out and are not expecting them until June or July. I have searched high and low for them so I am wondering if any of you have any suggestions on places I may have missed. I did find them for 1.55-1.99 a piece and no way that is way too high. I pay .69 a piece. I will attach a pic so you can see what lid I am referring to. The pic is a different color than the black but I am open to any color.

    Thanks,

What do you pour the 444 at in order to prevent frosting?

I generally pour when the wax is at an applesauce like consistency if that makes sense. I have very little frosting and gave up worrying about the occasional wet spot a few years back.

  16. I use GB 444 due to the higher melting point and use it in my clamshells and scent shots just fine. I still have some eco PB and that is what I use for my free standing molds. I still have tons so I can hold off a bit in finding a new PB wax.
