Hi all I had a request for a straight Cardamon scent. I have found several mixes but my customer wants plain Cardamon. Does anyone know of anyone that sells a good one.
Thanks,

Good evening,
I want to make some air fresheners for Christmas with some aroma beads I got in a big candle supply haul. I have several bags of aroma beads from Rustic Essentials. The directions are on the bag but no longer on the web site. Does anyone know if they can be melted into ornaments? Or are they just to keep in jars.
Thanks,

Good afternoon,
I am looking to add 1 or 2 essential oil candles to my line to appease the customers that cannot burn a fragrance oil. I have tried the Citrus Fantasy from Aztec but I am looking for a few suggestions on what you use in candles and the best place to get it.
Thanks,

So I only get a few from RE but figured this was a good chance to try a few others so $120 later I have ordered.

Hello everyone,
Now that my taxes are done for last year now to think what I want to buy for my business this year. The think I hate doing the most is printing labels. They never line up or only half the sheet lines up and so on. I have been looking at the color label printers. Does anyone use them for their candles and melts? if so what do you find is the best within cost reason and does anyone use them to print on Kraft labels.
Thanks,

So I poured some pink sugar/dragon fruit layered wax. It is a sweet fruity combination but I have no clue what to name it. Suggestions needed.

Hello everyone,
The snow is finally melting but guess what it is snowing again today. I am sooooo done wth winter.
Here is my question. Has anyone ever used these jars for candles? http://www.jarstore.com/16oz-Libbey-Beer-Can_p_699.html
I bought a case to try but when I go them today I am wondering if they are a bit too thin,

Good morning everyone,
I had a question about GB 416. I have 30 pounds of this bought in along with alot of supplies off of CL. I usually use Eco Pilla Blend but thought I would give this a a try. When I poured my tarts they all seemed to have a frots to them. Has anyone else had a problem with this. I was pouring Easter melts in three different molds and one grubby mold and they all had the same problem but not the whole tart. Say in my grubby star tart only the recessed star was frosted.
Will take any suggestions or thought on this as I really wnat to use the wax as it was free.

Have you ever tried the great pumpkin from the candle source? It is a great seller for me and just the right blend of pumpkin with a bit of spice.

Now I am going to have to order more FO. I cannot pour any candles right now as my candle room is about to float away from leaking windows so I guess I will just buy FO on line. I just finished organizing all my FO's into 11 large drawers and two large shelves I think I need more.

I agree make a stop at Fillmore. Last summer we were in Scranton and took a day to drive to Fillmore and Candlewic. It was nice to sniff in person and yes the scenery near Fillmore is so pretty. I was thinking I would make the drive a few times a year rather than shipping but it is still cheaper to ship when I factor a 600 mile round trip drive, about 10 hours in the car it is not worth it.

Candybee what is a centering wick?? I usually use wick pins but hate them as some of them are slightly smaller than my metal votive cups so it makes the bottoms look bad.

Hi all,
I got a few silicone votive mods that I cannot use wick pins. Maybe this is a stupid question but how do you all go about making the center hole for the wick?
Thanks Karen in MA

I sent you a message.

Hello everyone,
If this should be in a different section I apologize in advance but figured if I posted here I would get more opinins. Now to my question as I sit here watching another foot of snow fall.
I currently use 8.25 % FO in my candles I use GB 444 and it says it can handle a 12% load. I read all over where people use the full 12% or even more, shudder. What in general do you use for your scent load. I am wondering if I should up it to 9 or 10 % if it si worth it. I have not had any complaints on scent throw but when I burn my own candles I don't always smell them, it could be my nose is a but broken.
Thanks,

If you look at th ingredients on the colored sprinkles they are made of food grade wax. They should just melt down into the wax.

The Chemistry Store has a pound for under $30.00 It is Lebermuth. I was on the phone with Lebermuth the other day and they told me that if you need smaller sizes of their oils they are carried at The Chemistry Store and Bulk Apothecary. On a side note I agree that the Patch at Fillmore is great and have to say I have not found an oil that I did not like from Fillmore.

A customer of mine asked me if I had the scent Soft Blanket from YC. She picked up some tarts in a clearance bin somewhere and loves it. I did a search here on the board and there was some talk of it a few years back but nothing recent. Does anyone know of a dupe for this scent or something similar. The description is clean citrus, luxurious vanilla and warm amber.
Thanks,

Okay you palm experts how do I clean this stuff up? Definitely not like my soap and water Soy. I need to clean the pan it ended up in when it leaked. I scraped most of it out but it still needs cleaning.

Nursenancy that is what I used and have used it before with no problems. The votives look okay but only one got the great effect to it. Definitely easier to take out the wick pin with the palm versus the soy.

So I bought some Palm pillar wax to play around with and it did not go well. I prepped my pillar mold started pouring. I always put my molds in a pan in case they leak but not this time. Started leaking all over the counter so I picked it up with mitts and put it in a pan where it leaked more. I then poured what was left into some votives so not a total lost but the clean up is not as easy as my soy. Maybe I will just try Palm container wax instead. I just would see everyone's beautiful pillars and wanted to make some also.

Happy New Year everyone,
I have tried the Patch from Lebermuth and it was amazing. I also find it hard to meet the minimum for ordering with them but they will work with you on that. I now use the Patch from Fillmore and have had great feed back on it. I personally cannot stand the stuff and dread making it but since it sells I have to. I think you will be very pleased with the Fillmore FO. I use a ton of them and love them all.
Thanks,
