Vicky_CO
I made another rose cane this one is better. This is my plans for them I am going to make three more of these I am on the fence whether I am going to fill them with gel wax or just use tealights in them.

JAVAEBOY
Vicky, That looks great. I've never heard of a rose "cane". Exactly what is it, if you don't mind me asking? JavaEboy.
Vicky_CO
A cane is a log or cylinder of clay that has a design running through it.from http://www.jaedworks...faq/caning.html Rose cane is a cane has a rose running through it. I can take slices to use on other things.
Jcandleattic
So beautiful. I love your clay work. I wouldn't even know where to begin... (Even with your wonderful tutorial - at least that would be a good start! )
Guest OldGlory
I mean that makes a gorgeous bowl. It looks handpainted.I like the idea of a tealight, that way if you are selling it and the buyer wants to use it for something else they can. ChandlerWicks
I agree, tealight!
JAVAEBOY
Thank you for the explanation Vicky.I would definitely go with the tea light also. If those are the same round globes I buy (or used to buy) at Dollar tree, you can make it kind of like a double glassed gel candle (with or without the gel) you can even insert a votive glass inside with some clear silicone adhesive. That is how I attach my votive glasses in mine. Those and a clear tea light holder, and you should be all set. Will the clay handle the heat of pouring the gel? If so, that would also look nice. Vicky_CO
The clay will handle the heat as it is baked at 275 and I do not pour that hot. I think I will go tealight. I think that will give me the best glow.
