Alajane
I'd like to use the name but certainly don't want to pay $32 for a pound of FO with no description! Does anyone have any idea what that smells like--or any scent suggestions to use with that name?
Sharon in KY
I don't have any but love the name.. Maybe I'll try mixing something perfumey.
rctfavr3
based on the pic I'd assume it's uber masculine. My guess would be a vetiver based fragrance. Interesting to see how this sells/smells. Edited August 24, 2012 by rctfavr3
Darbla
Oh good grief. That blatant grabbing onto the coat tails of something famous is enough to turn me off from buying it. That reeks of crass commercialism, not quality crafting. Edited August 24, 2012 by Darbla

jeanie353
Ok just so I'm caught up on what we're talking about ... the name of the FO , is a blatant grabbing onto....what?Hey BTAI think its from the book series 50 Shades of Greyspelled wrong gray (grey) Edited August 25, 2012 by jeanie353
blacktieaffair
Ok, thanks Jeanie... the reason I'm asking is.. well, here in the south, we say a lot of what I guess others would call "weird things" or whatever... and we've been talking about " 50 shades of" this or that, including gray , since I guess the beginning of the south LOL. And I was curious as to what the ruckus was about if someone wanted to call a FO 50 shades of .... (whatever). See, I have one I call Country Bumpkin, and it's a series of books, it's a song, and it's a description of some people .. and I was curious if I'd be getting that reaction. ( I'm actually rather curious about this, because that Red Sedona people on here are talking about, I'd thought about renaming it Red Dirt Road, which is what we have down here, and also a very popular song...I guess I was just curious as to why there were a couple of well... (THIS IS JUST MY OPINION ) grabby sounding replies to Alajanes question about the 50 Shades.

I'll just quickly say the trilogy on 50 Shades is very controversial in how people feel about it from one end of the spectrum to the other. There is a thread on it, if you want to check it out. blacktieaffair
LOL I guess it might have made more sense if I'd have spelled the word correctly huh?I meant crabby. I've been doing that a lot lately ( rolls eyes at myself ) , trying to type one word, and something totally out of the blue comes out. Sharon in KY
I have the Shades of grey books but don't plan on reading them. Not what I thought they would be or my interest anymore. But will jump on the Filth Band Wagon if I can sell a candle with the name. Maybe instead of Fifty Shades I'll call it Filthy Shades and swirl with gray.Oh, and tie with black leather. deisel
love, love, love the idea-and won't even suggest what i think it should smell like!! i also refused to read the books, better things to do and read IMO.kris
Alajane
BTA, thanks for coming to my defense--we Alabama girls have to stick together sometimes! (At least I THINK you're from Alabama also.) I made the mistake of posting on a Friday when I didn't have a chance to get online over the weekend to see the responses.I haven't read the books either, but just thought the name was interesting. FaithfulScenter
I think it would sell like hotcakes, though probably not something I would carry... I am interested in what it smells like though!!
