justajesuschick
I need to add another pot. I use an old glass saucepan with a spout. I have a "warming zone" on my stove that keeps things, well, warm. Works perfectly for keeping the saucepan warm before pouring into it.Was wondering if you do not use a metal pour pot what you safely use. Thanks! blacktieaffair
I use glass measuring cups because I rarely do huge batches at a time because I do melts, and I'm always changing the scents up.

justajesuschick
Stopped in a thrift store yesterday after a doctor appointment and I actually found another old glass saucepan with spout just like what I have.Only $2 and stove top safe!It is a bit scratched up and more worn than mine but should still work fine. Since I am used to what I have, a second of the same will be great!
blacktieaffair
I've heard that some people search the flea markets and thrift stores, for the older type perculating ( sp ) coffee pots. Those silver ones with the handle and longer spout.
deisel
i use the glass coffee pots-from mr. coffee type coffee makers. around here i can pick them up for 25 cents at yard sales!kris
puma52
I have the 1# and 4# pour pots but I also have several different sizes of aluminum bowls , some w/spouts and some without. One of the aluminum bowls will hold over 8 lbs of wax at a time (which I love for big pours) The smaller ones I have bought at Walmart, but the big ones I bought at a bakery outlet store. The aluminum bowls actually pour better/smoother than the pour pots.:smiley2:
earthfriendly
I use the pitcher that comes with the Mr Coffee Ice Tea Maker. I pour 5 lbs at a time and I usually find the pitchers at thrift stores.
Scented
Went away from pour pots when I went to the presto pot. I can get 7+ pounds at a time melted in that baby, so I just use plastic cups to dip from and color, but then again I don't usually make what others make. HayCreekCandles
I have about 4 presto pots to melt, then I use those giant coffee cans (I forget what number can they are). They are flexible enough that I push on both sides to bend a "spout" in it. works for me..
beekeeper_sd
For a long time I used old coffee cans but most of them are now plastic.
