Aimee81
Hansel & Gretel's House FO from Candlescience has flashpoint of 210 degrees. I have an electric warmer that the melted wax has gotten to 175-180 degrees. Can I use just straight FO (not mixed with my soy wax) in my electric melter to freshen up the house? The reason I ask...I don't have time to make actual soy melts anymore and I was wondering if this would work until I get a chance to make soy melts to freshen up my house. Thanks so much! ChrisR
You should never put straight FO in any melter, as it could get too hot and flame up on you. Mix it with DPG to be safe.
Darbla
Or put a small chunk of wax, about the size of a tart, and then a few drops of some FO. You're just skipping the melting & mixing & molding.
LeahRB
I have mixed mine with a higher flash point cooking oil for my own use. You could even try castor. I read on wikipedia the smoke point of castor is 392 and it says the flash point is above that, so that should work fine.
Lorelei
Are you all mixing a 50/50 DPG/FO ratio or different?
