mzphee
I went to my local hair store today and saw a 16oz tub of shea butter. It states is 100% natural pure unrefined shea butter and its yellow..also states its a product from Ghana. My question is can this be used to make body butters and such? any help would be appreciated
TallTayl
Yes. I find unrefined shea to be drier than refined. As with any ingredient, the quality varies from vendor to vendor. I've had unrefined shea that felt almost greasy, and some that is so powdery soft without any hint of greasiness that it is a delight to use all by itself. Kitn
It could be used for sure, but I think you might pay more than if you bought at a supplier..If not-- great find.
