msalex28a
I made my first batch of bombs last night and when I woke up they had flattened. What did I do wrong. They are rock hard though. I threw it on my kitchen floor and not one crack.
TallTayl
Flattening IME is from a mixture that was too wet when molded.

msalex28a
What ingredient in bath bombs makes that silky feeling on your skin?
TallTayl
What ingredient in bath bombs makes that silky feeling on your skin? Can be pretty much anything. Some swear that Kaolin adds the feel, others choose modified Tapioca starch. My preference is a combo of oils/butters emulsified into the mix.FInd the ingredient list for the one(s) you like best and it should be pretty easy to pick out what your skin likes. lindsaycb
Witch hazel all the way! I've never been able to get water to work. Sometimes I will have a batch that looks amazing for hours and hours and then overnight the humidity will change in the air and bam...you've got blobs.
