NaturallyTru
Seriously.....$18.03 for a 3 lb package through UPS? That's the best rate you can do?
Bernadette
Since the price of gas has gone up every day for the past...what is it?...28-31 days?...I've noticed the shipping services and some suppliers have started to raise their shipping charges. Get ready. If it keeps up, this could get nasty.:tiptoe:
001
That is why I love Priority Mail Flat Rate.
SuzyK
was that shipping charged to you? I use the Regional Rate boxes and those are great.
SliverOfWax
Problem is shipping charges skyrocketed the last time gas shot up, but when gas prices went back down, the carriers sure the hell didn't lower their shipping prices. Guess they think we forgot.
NaturallyTru
Yes, I expected the box to be bigger and weigh more, so I didn't think anything of it when I ordered. Box arrived and it was 3 lbs!
LynnS
I got a small regular box for shipping 4 candles with USPS.It went to Fla from Ohio.I was shocked. It cost over $12 but the flat rate medium is $11.35.The lady from the PO was shocked and she told me to order some boxes on line. They didnt carry the ones she told me to get.I hate going to the PO thinking it can't be much with a few candles. Then it's alot and I don't want to go back and re-do it all.I am afraid to even ship to my state for fear shipping will be outrageous for a small order. When I have big orders I can get 21 8 ounce JJ in a larger flat rate and shipping is only $15.45.That is 21 candle but 4 candles cost $12.00?????I am getting worried when it comes to shipping.Strange this month I've had more orders than I've ever had.I've wondered what is happening. The orders are same area. classiccandle
With shipping going up you'll probably start seeing minimum order amounts for free shipping increase also. If someone currently offers free shipping on orders over $75 they'll probably increase it to $100 or more so if you buy that way prepare to start spending more if you want free shipping. NaturallyTru
LynnS, I have been suddenly getting several new customer orders...and even repeat orders from one the following week. Maybe things are looking up.
pleasureridgecandles
Well costs may be going up again for the carriers. Don't know what any of you are paying for gas but news said it's going up tomorrow to over 4.00 a gallon here.
Bernadette
Gas is still under $3.80/gal. here, but where our vacation home is...$4.99-5.19/gal:shocked2:, and it's not all that far away from several good suppliers, and many customers...
