classiccandle
For those of you who use containers with screw on lids for your candles do you use lined lids or unlined lids? I wouldn't think the lined lids would be necessary for candles but I thought I'd pose the question to the pros. Thank you!
SliverOfWax
I've blown through a bazillion lids and I have no idea what you mean by 'lined'. Maybe I'm having a brain fart.
Pam W
Maybe I know what you mean: the jars I use for lotions & scrubs have a liner inside of the lid. The lids I use for candles do not have that liner, just a glued in gasket thingy.
classiccandle
SOW - a lined lid is one that has a liner, like polystyrene, inside the lid. I've included pics of a lined lid and an unlined lid.Pam - yes, from what I understand containers for lotions, cremes, and such should include a lined lid. SliverOfWax
Oh, OK, yeah, the lids I used for B&B are lined. I've only seen the liner in plastic lids.I see no reason to use lined lids for candles.
Candybee
No. Lots of customers just toss the lids anyway and the lined ones don't "preserve" the candle or offer any benefits that I am aware of.
puma52
None of my lids are lined...actually the manufacturer does not give me the option of lined lids. That said, the lids that I have used for years work perfectly for me and my customers.
