powderblueboutique
If I want to use a frosting decorator for the top of my soap, how long should I leave the portion of soap to be used in the freezer, and at what trace should it be placed in the freezer? Also, How long can I work with it?Thanks so much!
soycrazy
Why would you need to put it in the freezer? Is this something new? I just let it sit until it thickens up enough to be piped out of a pastry bag
chuck_35550
Karen at Edens secret uses a squeeze bottle with a tip and lets her soap stiffen up to form the icing. I tried the icing thingy and found I much prefer the bag. Pour your cupcake bottoms thin and separate the different icing colors and load the bag or gun when it gets nice and thick. Silicone scrapers work best to handle it into the bag IMHO.Steve
soycrazy
Karen uses pastry bags now, because she can't find the big ketchup bottles. I use both myself though esp with the giant tips.
powderblueboutique
I thought I saw somewhere that they put it in the freezer, but I read so much about soaping, who knows what I saw! I wonder what would happen??? Well, anyway thanks.
Oceangazer1
What type of decorator are you going to use? Make sure it isn't a metal one. I never put my piping bags of soap in the freezer, I to just wait for the soap to set up long enough to pipe, but make sure it isn't too runny or too set up.
