Soapygirl
Hello - I have used several brands of shea butter soap and some lather better than others. The shea butter from Peak seemed to be the thinnest and least lather. I heard that shaving soap has the best lather. Which melt and pour soaps lather the most? Thanks! soapbuddy
Synthetic MP base lathers the most.
Soapygirl
What are synthetic mp bases?
SliverOfWax
I don't make soap anymore, but I always threw in a dollup of SFIC shaving soap when I made SFIC shea butter soap. I bought my soap directly from SFIC. The small amount of shaving soap gave excellent lather.
soapbuddy
What are synthetic mp bases?Craft store MP bases have synthetic surfactants which make them lather more.
Candybee
Bases with SLES lather the best. But some don't want to use bases with sulfates. SFIC doesn't use SLES in their bases.

ksranch
MP base does not need to cure. Hmm, mine certainly seem harder and to lather better if they have sat for a week or two.. but, hey - I'm new to soap so what do I know?
