NaturallyTru
I need to buy table skirts for my next show (requirement cover to the floor). I cannot decide what color to purchase. My tablecloths are forest green with embossed leaves. My display shelves and spinner are black. What color do you think I should go with? White, Black, Ivory?I will be putting the tablecloth draped over the skirt. Thanks Edited November 17, 2011 by NaturallyTru
jackbenimble
White or Ivory sound nice. Are your candles colored?
pcbrook
I would say definitely not white, but black or ivory I think would look good. I am leaning more towards the black because of the black shelves but I guess I would have to see this stuff in person.
Kitn
Ivory or Black.
Noodle
I do not like black. I think ivory is just perfect in my opinion.
Whisper Girl
I use black tablecloths as my base and then use a colored piece of material on top. The black base makes my top cloth and candles "pop". My top cloth is 2 yards of a material that I think is called piani (sp). I have different colors for different seasons. I then use clear lucite type risers to display my candles.
Desertrose
I like Whispergirl's idea but if not I'd choose ivory.
NaturallyTru
I held a piece of ivory fabric to the tablecloth and I didn't like it. Black seemed to make it a really dark display. Chocolate would have matched my brown/green logo scheme; but this place with better prices didn't offer brown. So...I went with white. I think it will brighten up the display. B@BlissStreet
Trudi,Have you checked with a linen service to see if you could rent it for the day? When I used to manage a banquet facility, we would order table skirting to match the wedding party colors...Good luck at your show!
NaturallyTru
They were only $18 a piece so I figured that wasn't too bad of an investment. However I needed a card table sized one...$35! But that one I can use for all sorts of functions. Never thought of renting.
crazzie
Ask the banquet hall if you can rent one. The show today we could rent a skirted table for $10.00I made mine for my tables. I have solid green on the top and green checked for the bottom. Gives it a country look.
