Suggestions for pastry and chocolate colors?

I am looking for a nice golden pastry brown and a milk chocolate brown. What do ya'll use?

most bakery scents have vanilla so naturally go to the brown... but I found a few micas from tkb that give a lovely brown, copper/penny being one of them

You might get a lovely golden brown with a little bit of yellow oxide and even less of cocoa powder too. As for a milk chocolate brown, Eugenia used cocoa powder on a batch and it gave a nice milk chocolate brown IMO.

Cocoa powder works great. You can achieve many different levels of brown, just depends how much you use. I premix it in a cup before adding to the batch.
