sbs
What do you use to cut the wicks after making a candle in a somewhat narrow jar.. well not narrow but like the 8oz square Mason jar. I use small scissors but it's a little awkward and cuts the wick at a slant if I can't reach it well enough. I read the wick trimmers are only good for burned wicks not fresh ones. So what do you use?TIA
Vicky_CO
Well I have been using wick trimmer for year to cut the wick. Now you need a really good pair so a cheap dollar store ones will not work. Another thing that is good to use it toe nail clippers.

grama
Toe nail clipper here also They are so easy to use, especially when you have a row of jars that need wicks trimmed. Just go down the row clipping.
EnvyCandles
Love the wick trimmers; think I paid $5 for it. It already has a base, so just rest it on the surface of the wax and it trims the length automatically- no need to eyeball or guess. Works especially easily on zinc wicks... GermantownCandles
I use small wire cutters... They work really good for me... They came in an old tool kit, so I didn't even have to buy any!
