Wessex
I am so sick of people trying to ban every little thing because it may offend someone or because someone doesn't like something. I can understand not smoking in public places, that is most likely a health issue (I am a smoker and never smoked in a restaurant anyway, just common courtesy). If you don't like the way a place smells or are sensative to it, just DON"T GO. PERIOD!!! You have no absolute right to be catered to everywhere. If you want to smell a country with no air fresheners, try Iraq, smelliest place in the world. No lie. Frickin' whinny people, so damn entitled... Wow, I feel better, LOL.Cheers,Steve
Bella Rose
Wow what will they try to control next....
Johnna
We try so hard to be so frickin politically correct it is getting out of control. I personally get sick to my stomach when I smell b.o. so can we pass a law that says all smelly people have to stay in their own houses as to not offend MY nose in public
islandgirl
If that's the case, then they need to ban perfume and cologne.. Some of the shit people wear is enough to make me puke!! Like when you go to a movie and people are loaded with frangrance.. Gheesh.. I think it would be easier to supply nose plugs and gas masks for those people who complain!!!Really.. I think it would be outrageous for this to get pushed thru...Oh.. Here's another smelly... How about when people don't dry their clothes long enough in the dryer and then they wear them and they have that mildew smell to them.. OMG.. It is horrible!! They need to be banned too! LOL Edited March 15, 2011 by islandgirl

Traveler
Wow. Nevada has the highest rate of Forclosures in the country, right? And they want to get busy spending taxpayer money banning the way a gas station bathroom smells? Or a casino? Some people need to stop and take a look at Japan. And Haiti. And the Middle East. The list is longer. Not to mention the poverty and desperation right here in our own front yard. I'd like to ask that politician "How many homeless/jobless people have you spoken with today? And are you doing ANYTHING to make a difference in their lives? Are you doing ANYTHING to create jobs in your state?" I bet that waitress wears perfume. EricofAZ
Traveler, well, here in Arizona last year, our legislature worked furiously hard on getting a ban on human / animal hybrid cloning. All of our centaurs had to go, but the mermaids got to stay cuz they're a fish. :rolleyes2Steve, tell us how you really feel.
FarmerJill
loved this quote - "A cocktail waitress at a casino said inhaling the fragrances piped through the ventilation system felt like a concrete slab on her chest."But the cigarette smoke doesn't bother her? Good, lord, until casinos take smoke as a serious issue this kind of legislation is a joke.

Noodle
I loathe air fresheners and think they cause more harm than good. I noticed such a difference when I got rid of them in my home with my family. HOWEVER, this is MY choice in my own home. I would never think to put a ban into effect because of my opinion. This is truly appalling. I am so sick of these preposterous bans that cater to a select few.
Scented
I feel better just reading your rant.I felt better too! I would think all states have something more pressing to concentrate on as well as the nation and it starts with debt and not trying to get re-elected. Stella1952
What utter nonsense. That Assemblyman needs to focus on matters that affect a larger number of his constituents, like creating some jobs or helping homeowners struggling with foreclosure, or improving their local coyote control program!! :rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2
