Mailing FO's

I have some fragrance oils

Can these be mailed air

I have gotten oils this way

But my post office has said they can't before

I need to mail them to Canada

and not sure what to do

If anyone has any answers or ideas

Flammable items cannot be mailed. Most FO's are combustable NOT flameable. It depends on the Flash Point. And darn if I can't remember what the cut off point is. Basically if you got it in the mail you can certainly mail it out. You just have to mark not flammable liquid on the package. HTH

Boy we had this question come up before the Chicago Soap and Candle conference and I'm thinking up to 200 FP was allowed to go by air. Not swearing by it, but thinking Heather (Slow Burn) or Georgia will know.

Shouldn't that be flash point of 200 and up?

The lower the FP the more dangerous it is.

I checked a few FO sites and it looks like anything with a Flash Point of 150 or less can not be shipped air.

There are a couple I get that the supplier has on their website "cannot be sent by air". Don't know if all suppliers do that. You might want to check with the supplier you purchased the FO's from to be safe.
