Bath Bomb Drying Question

I've tried drying my bombs on foil, a rack, paper, paper towels, etc. and it seems that when I put them on any kind of paper the oils just absorb into the paper.

What is the correct way to dry them?

I don't know what the correct way is, but I put large bubble wrap on a cookie sheet, put a dish towel on top and then the bombs on top of that. I let my cure for at least 24 hours and then I wrap them. hth

I do the paper towels and just rotate them. The stains I get I figure are from the wetness of the bomb itself, because they dry just fine.

If you've got actual oil, then I would look at using less oil.

Its actual oil that comes off on the paper towels. So you're right, I'm probably using too much oil.

When they turn out the right way, I'm so thrilled, which doesn't seem to be that often but I'm still trying. Here's a few pics of what has worked. Thanks again ladies. Merry Christmas, Nina

You could try cutting back on your oil and maybe using a little butter with it ... maybe. It depends on what your recipe is.

I sit mine on a rack to dry and they do great.

I usually do mine in a muffin pan with muffin cups. I just let the whole thing sit out overnight, no special layers or anything, by morning, they're ready to go.

I set mine on wax paper and store them in a plastic shoe box until they set. I can then stack the boxes until I can package them. The plastic shoe boxes at Walmart are about $1.00 each. Very economical
