Another method is, 3% of 2 oz is 0.06 gm.

I usually make 4 oz at a time so I double this formula. However, I have a hard time deciding whether to add 1, 2, or 3 % for the flavor. Not sure if 1% is strong enough or if need up to 3%. I have made lip balms that did not hardly taste or smell, and made some that had too much. Be nice if the flavor oils label would tell you what per cent works best in 2 oz or something. ?

For 2 oz of balm: 12 drops = 1% 24 drops = 2% 36 drops = 3%

Has anyone added nettle to eye cream or face cream, and how much should I add? I have liquid nettle. Nettle is good for skin and wrinkles I heard. Thanks.

I am selling my soaps cut up and in loaf display so it looks like a whole loaf of soap. I have a sign that describes what all is in the soaps. I also have small cello bags for them to place the soaps in when they purchase them. I was wondering if I should put ingredient labels on the cello bags? I have about 200 soaps. I use to box them but because my soaps are bigger than the boxes I can't use the kraft boxes anymore. Placing a decorative soap band is too time consuming. People love the look of the soap displayed like it is still a whole loaf. I will put out samples for them to smell so they are not handling all the soaps. I also made pumpkin spiced pie soaps and will place them in pumpkin wooden baskets. I could print up cards and place in the bags when they buy rather than having to stick labels on all the bags.

candybee, i do the same thing then my soap does not turn orange. i also use gm powder and there is no changes in coloring.

I usually do 1 oz. per fo per lb of soap. i am thinking the oak moss should be 1/2 oz per lb. made a batch and smells great but soap is not pretty. really ashed and almost too strong of scent. anyone use oak moss?

i have a great receipe for oatmeal soap that i used oatmeal milk and honey with. so creamy and lathers great. I need to find it and post it in the receipe area. i grinded my oatmeal up in my coffee bean grinder I made cold pour soap.

I have used this receipe for the past four years and love it. I add a couple other things to it but it always whips up nicely.

is ole goat toggle soap mold maker still making soap molds? I can't find him on etsy or anywhere.

I was going to go and look at the toggle molds by ole goat since I have a couple of them and love them. I can't seem to find his site anymore on etsy or on here. Does anyone know if he is still making them?

wish you had the receipe. so a bit of oil is about how much. no vegetable glycerin is used then, right? did you do equal parts of the slsa too?

i put slsa in my bath bombs plus shea butter and oil and they are really nice. i just love the texture of the glycerin. there is a receip out there for coco something that works as a surfactant and bars are suppose to stay hard. I wrapped the ones i made with glycerin. they are spongy but at least don't fall apart if dropped lol

Made these tonight. The green ones in the back have sat for 24 hours and are still soft. Hoping the pink ones harden up. They are cranberry fig and the green ones in the back are ocean mist. I love how they feel and bubble but so disappointed I can't get them to harden like bath bombs. I suppose if I just packed them in molds instead of trying to roll them they might harden better and with less veg glycerin.
