reselling fragrance oils

Hi everyone,

I have a booth at the local flea market where I sell soy candles. A lot of people ask if I sell fragrance oils. I tell them that I only have the oils for candle making. I get my oils from Candle Science and Natures Garden, can these same oils be used in other applications, such as oil burners? And if I do resell these, should I rebottle them and relabel too?

Yes and yes. We do this ourselves and have had lots of people asking in the past too. Just rebottle it in what ever size you want (we do 1oz or the small perfume pipette, think they hold 15ml)

These oils are so strong, should I ad warning labels?

We do not dilute them at all, just label them with the standard "Keep out of reach of children, don't apply to skin, etc" You know, common sense that will cost us our companies LOL =)

Some people dilute them 50/50 with DPG to help cut down on the chance of them smoking in the warmer. Just a thought.

yeah it truly depends on what you're selling them for... if you're marketing them as burner oils, dilute. If you're marketing them as fragrance oils, do not.. but I would warn customers NOT to use them undiluted... kwim?

I cut mine 50/50 with dpg, so they don't smoke or catch fire. I do put a caution sticker on them containing. Not for human consumption, avoid contact with eyes, skin, keep out childrens & pets reach. That sort of thing.
