KMommy
I am new to soap and planning on starting with some M&P. What type of dye do I use for this type of soap? Is it mica or liquid?
Sherie
I haven't used mica in M&P. I've only used liquid colorants. Check BCN, I'm pretty sure they have some that are specific for M&P. HTH
Jean
Just my 2 cents.. I have tried mica, it gives the soap a pealized look after it dries, i also use the liquid
Grumpy Girl
I think I was reading on sweetcakes site that you can use Wilton cake decorating dyes... the ones in the little containers that walmart has for $1.27 each. I haven't tried it yet, so I'm not sure if it works or not.
KMommy
Thanks! Sounds like I might like both. I am not sure about this but it seems like I read that using food dyes were not safe because some people have allergic reactions to them. Michi
WSP carries a ton of different dyes that you can use in M&P and they are very helpful.I've used gel dye, liquid dye, bar dye, herbs/seasonings, and mica in M&P, all work very well.HTH

gerrie
I agree with Jean. It's nice to have both the liquid and the mica, just depends on what look you're going for on how you use them.
Guest EMercier
I use liquid dyes. They come out great. I've never used to other.
tlc26
Anyone ever tried the liquid mica like wsp carries? I got some and it just clumps up at bottom. It looks really pretty in the soap though!
