In m&p I don't really smell the apple part of it. It's been a big hit in my neck of the woods but I really wouldn't call it a straight pumpkin pie scent. I had a small batch curing on my kitchen island and had 4 separate people walk into my house and ask me if they could have some pumpkin bread as they thought I had baked some!
