Pierre
Anyone know where I can get either the cheap plastic lids (dust covers) for the 14oz tumblers, that are about 3 1/8" to 3 1/4" in diameter, or the fancier silver ones with fitments, at the best prices? I know fillmore has them but 17 cents per piece sounds steep to me, for a little plastic lid that probably costs fractions of a penny to produce. Candybee
Candles and Supplies carries some plastic dust covers for less than $.05 per 100:http://newcart.candlesandsupplies.com/Store/Products/Candles/Packaging/Plastic+Dust+Covers/Default.aspx

Pierre
Does anyone have an idea as to the manufacturer of these lids? Candles and Supplies seems to have the best pricing on them, however, they don't have any in the size that I require.Anyone know who actually MAKES these lids? lsbennis
This is the only place I know of, they make the metal covers, but I'm not sure if they make the plastic ones.Tecnocap – metal closures industrial production for jars
Pierre
Check it out everyone. Procap by Dinex (Dinex is the manufacturer, but they don't allow direct orders...only through their distributors). This website offers a TON of different sizes of lids, and Dinex is the manufacturer that makes the ones that Candles and Supplies sells (I'm pretty sure of it).http://www.wasserstrom.com/restaurant-supplies-equipment/SearchCtrlCmd?storeId=10051&langId=-1&searchType=Basic&filter=&sort_results=priceDesc&narrowSearchTermFilterArray=&newSearch=true&stdPageSize=80&currPgNum=&searchFilter=&errorViewName=SearchResultsView&search_field=procap
Misty
Could you use a shrink bag for less expensive cover?
Pierre
Probably about the same price if you factor in the labor involved with shrinking it closed. A little under 5 cents for those lids isn't bad.
R.S.
Fillmore container also offers a large variety of lids
Pierre
Not at 5 cents per piece, I don't think. And, I don't believe they have this exact size.
