icecold
What wick is best with 1oz fragrance pp and no dye? I am trying LX 22 and 24 and also CDN 14. If anyone has suggestions please let me know.
soylights
CDN 12 is working very well for me right now. I have only tested with Hawaiian Pineapple from Rustic Essentials. I use gb 464 and 1 oz FO per pound. A lot of people use a CDN 10 or 12 for those jars.
soy327
I use the 135 and would also use a cd 12 to start, and I bet you won't need to try another.I have some of those jars and haven't used yet, but that's what I would try 1st. I quit using color in the soy til I can experiment with powder dyes.Linda
Judy, USMC
I use the 135 and would also use a cd 12 to start, ...Sometimes I have to bump up to a CD-14. I started out with RRD-47's but switched when the CD's worked better in other jar sizes I pour.

icecold
Thanks everyone, I will have to pour one with a CDN 12 and then do my test burns.
hsteveberry
I have had good results with the LX 22 wicks in this container. Some hang-up early in burn but it is cleared up as the candle burns down. Full melt pool in good time.Steve
Candybee
I also prefer LX wicks.
Stella1952
What wick is bestI prefer CDNs & CDs.As you can see from the responses, there is no one "best wick." Sometimes it's simply a matter of preference; other times, it's a matter of the wax, FO, dye, additives & amounts used...The best wick is the one that works best in YOUR candle system. Commonly used wicks are CD, CDN, LX, ECO. Some folks use zinc, square braid, RRDs, CSNs, etc. There is no one *right* wick.
icecold
So I have done about 4 test burns with the LX 22, 24 and CDN 14. The CDN 14 flame is out of control so I will go down a size on that one. The LX 24 had a huge mushroom the first burn but had a full melt poole 1/8 inch deep. The LX 22 didn't reach a full melt pool after 3 hours, some hang up it seems a little too small but it is burning better after each burn will keep testing it. I think I am also gonna try the ECO 12 that I use in my GW464 in that jar for most oils.
