Blest2BAmerican
Black Iron Oxide will work in clear M & P soap to color it.

Blest2BAmerican
I don't know because I've never used black oxide. I've used brown oxide when I made brown fudgescicles bars and though it made the washcloth brown, it washed out.

mparadise
I've used black mica with good results too. It does make the suds grey and did discolor the washcloth but it too washed out.

Jean
Thanks Ladies, where do you buy your black mica?
Blest2BAmerican
I'm not sure if these places carry the black mica but here are a few links:www.tkbtrading.comwww.thesage.comwww.brambleberry.com
mparadise
I got mine from Candles & Supplies just because I was ordering some other stuff and they had it. I am LOVING their little plastic spice shakers that it comes in. Makes it so much easier to get it into the bases without a huge clump if it coming out of the container. Starr
I used to do black M&P all the time. I use black liquid dye from Therapy Garden. I tried Iron Oxide and it was a mess, never tried mica but the liquid dye never discolored anything unless I used too much but I've found that to be true with any liquid dye. COJECO
FYI activated charcoal works really well too with a clear base.
MarsBars
Make sure when you use the clear M&P soap in order to achieve a true black color. If you use a white base you'll get a shade of gray.
