Ravens
Perhaps it's just me, but whenever I open a clamshell, the first smell that hits me is the plastic. Is there any way to correct this? I don't want the smell of plastic migled with the fragrance I used for the wax!:rolleyes2
CountryTartMama
my finished clamshells smell just like the intended scent. No plastic smell or altered smell
Ravens
Where do you buy your clamshells (may I'm buying the wrong ones), and at what temp do you pour? Thanks!
countyline
I think it could possibly have to do with the clams you are using. I had some trouble with the ones from MillCreek. I've used WSP's and now I use ICS with no problems. HTH!
Ravens
Thank you! I will try to ones from ICS.
TheWickedWick
I use ICS also...no plastic smell either
mparadise
I've used them from a few different places and only had the plastic smell if I got impatient & poured too hot. Try letting it cool a bit more before pouring before trying another supplier. You probably will fix the problem without having to buy more.
