joanncat18
I am pouring 10 oz apothecary jars. Just wondering where I should pour up to?? Up the the beginning of the "neck" of the jar...or below it? Thanks. I know this is probably a dumb question, but oh well....
dreamfaerie
I pour mine to about the curve of the "shoulders"

NiksWaxNWicks
Hmm I guess everyone is different. I fill mine up to the bottom of the straight part. My customers like to see that it is full.
joanncat18
Bottom, top or middle of "shoulders"? Right where the glass starts to curve toward the neck?

3lephant1
Hi,It seems to be a personal choice. Although I would keep in mind the melted wax being left in the curves after the candle has been burned down. Also the flames distance from the glass at the neck of the bottle. Jane42
We fill to just where the neck starts so that we are wicking to one dimension (width). If I am reading the responses correctly, it sounds like that is where everyone else is filling them. Am I misunderstanding?
NiksWaxNWicks
This is a photo I found online, but this shows where I fill mine to. I believe most fill them to this point.
Jane42
Ahhhh, I see the differences now.Yes, I have seen a lot filled to that point. We do fill ours to the point just below where it starts to curve....
Candybee
I started out filling them just to the point where the jar starts to curve inward. After filling jars over the years I find that it looks much better to me filled to the neck instead. It especially made my labels look better too. Hard to explain. joanncat18
Yeah, I ended up pouring to the start of the neck and it looks nice.
