linwvr
how hot can your FO get before it burns off too much while you're mixing? I think I let mine get too hot J223
eugenia
Usually 180 but I think you'd need to have the FO heated for a while above that temp to have any real effect.e
CandleScents
Yeah I usually put mine in aroud 160 - 180 and pour between 145-
janet
fragrances have all different flash points. If you have one with a very low FP and pour and a very high temp , you may have "burnt" some off
Terrie
I add mine anywhere from 175 to 185, depending on the FO, and have never had a problem.
Alohagirl
Be sure to add the FO just before pouring. If you let it "cook" in the wax too long, that can weaken the scent too.
linwvr
ok, so at what temp do you pour your FO at and how long do you stir before pouring
CandleScents
ok, so at what temp do you pour your FO at and how long do you stir before pouring If you are using the J223 I believe the specs call for pouring into your containers in the range of 145-155 degrees. As for what temp to add your FO, you dont want to add too cool as it will not mix properly with the wax. It will settle at the bottom of the container when the wax has cooled. You just need to test and see what is right for you.
eugenia
ok, so at what temp do you pour your FO at and how long do you stir before pouring I add the FO at 180, stir for at least 2 minutes, cool to 150 before pouring with the wax you are using.e

AngelaVA
I always wait about five days. I really just want to give my nose a break since I usually do a lot of pouring one one day of the week.
