vberkesch Posted September 16, 2008 Share Posted September 16, 2008 Can anyone tell me how they make the color white in their soaps so nice and white. Is it the type of oils you use? I just made a CP soap with olive oil in and I know this tends to turn your soap a bit greenish/tanish. Does one have to put a colorant in your soap for a nice white? CareBear Posted September 16, 2008 Share Posted September 16, 2008 Most olive oil goes stark white eventually, the exceptions being (IME) extra virgin and pomace. I don't use a whitener.If you want a stark white bar try the 100% coconut oil/20% superfat or perhaps blend coconut oil with lard... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
