  1. I just poured that one the other day. I personally like it, but have had some say it's too sweet. But, it has a very good cold throw, have not burned it yet. CJ
  2. Thank you so much! Didn't catch the other FO review. Just what I am looking for, super strong. Thanks a million. CJ
  3. I am looking for a good leather fragrance. I have tried LS, it was okay, but wasn't as strong as I am looking for. Bought some from wholesalefragrances4less and it was not strong at all, and does not seem to be an oil base, but rather a water base. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help. CJ Cami Candles Durant, Oklahoma
  4. Hope this finds everyone doing great. I have a request for White Lavender and I can not seem to find it anywhere. Can anyone please give me some suggestions? Thank you all so very much, Carmella
  5. I poured it the other day with 1.5 oz and it done really well, my customer loved it. I personally think it is just a softer scent, I really don't like that smell so I didn't smell it much. I use EL soy.
  6. Cranberry Citrus - Peaks (super strong) smells really good
  7. Pvc pipe works well too. I get it cheaper than most, since my husband is a plumber. So, if anyone one needs pvc at cheaper prices, just let me know.
  8. I use the tins with a 3 3/4 top and double wick with RRD-47. They seem to do really well and I have had a good throw with them. I also poured a 23 oz glass jar with a 4" opening and doubled wicked with RRD-47 and it would not burn all the way to the edges. So, I'll have to triple wick them or try another wick.
  9. I haven't soaped it yet, but it is a very nice smell. Let me know when you soap it, I would like to know how it turned out. I would also like to soap Peaks Wild Berry Musk and Sage & Lemongrass. CJ
  10. Thank you so much. I was wondering about the Masala Chai, just because the name sounded so interesting. I hesitated on the Bunchberry and Moss, because I ordered Hollyberry and Ivy (greenery smell) and it is horrible. Thank you so much for help. CJ
  11. I am going to order from Candle Cocoon and would like your opinions of which ones are the best. I am looking at the following ones Banana Nut Bread Creme Brule Cafe Dew Drop Geisha Peony White Tea Orange Tea and Crumpets Pillow Fight Spiced Apple Pie Tiger Lily and Cantaloupes Vanilla VooDoo I am looking for a really good Apple Pie scent for my mother. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this forum, so if I post wrong please let me know. Thank you very much CJ
  12. You may want to try Alabaster they have them pretty reasonable price too.
  13. Titanium Dioxide is used as a whitener. Hope this helps
  14. May sound crazy, but do they look like poppy seeds?
  15. I don't know if anyone has ever used EL container blend, but about 2 weeks ago, he said it was less than $70 a bag I think. He did not say that they would be increasing it anytime soon. I use their 100% soy, but I have to add a hardener to it. I bought it for 47.50/bag from waxhouse. There container blend is suppose to be much better, the type I have tends to frost on certain colors.
  16. What color were they? I use vita burst beads, they are blue.
  17. I ordered unrefined shea butter and sent it right back, I could not cover the smell with any FO. It may be the difference in the shea butter that they are using. Refined does not have a smell. Unrefined smells very bad to me. It almost smells like a smokey camp fire is the best way I could describe it.
  18. I have storm watch from BC haven't poured it yet, but will let you know as soon as I do. It smells very nice OOB.
  19. These are the ones I like Red Currant - Very strong Raspberry - Very strong I mix these two together and it is awsome! I use 1 oz Red Currant and 1/2 oz Raspberry in soy and throws good hot and cold. Pear Berry - super strong Apples slices - doesn't seem that strong on my cold throw, but hot throw is very good - this is one of my favorites. Lilac is horrible. It smells like chemicals to me. It's okay in a candle, but I made body butter with it and threw it all away. I have several fo's from LS but haven't used all of them yet. KY has an excellent Cherry Slush - it is super super strong! Their Fresh Lilac is pretty good. Fresh cut roses is good and Peachy Pie Filling. Birthday Cake is super strong! BC has strong fo's. I like Storm Watch, Pear Spice, Sage and Lemongrass, Cranberry Citrus and Wild Berry Musk. I do not like Hollyberry and Ivy, it is strong, but it makes my skin crawl! I am going to try it in a candle and see if it is better than it is in the bottle. I have their Red currant too, and I like LS Red currant much better. BC's Pink sugar is really nice! Ordered that for a friend of mine, and I wish I had ordered myself some of it.
  20. My husband has a small air gun for pin-striping and touch ups. I don't know which ones would be cheaper you may want to look at the vehicle ones and the air brushes that the salons use for nails might be cheaper. They also have air brush guns for temporary tattoos that might work real well. I have seen sites that use stencils to paint on the soap and they look really pretty. I think it would be a great idea.
  21. Has anyone ever used fo's from scentations4u? I ordered several fo's from them and they smoke badly. I was pouring them at 170 degrees, until I started adding my fo just before I pour. I haven't tried these fo's that way, so I will try them at cooler temp's. They are very strong and nice scents in the bottle. The one that I made for my mother, she said she could not even smell it while it was burning. I had just decided to use them in my air fresheners.
  22. My lime is from BC and my coconut is from LS. My lime is not as strong as my coconut. I mix my own fragrance oils, but I think from here on out, I will purchase them already mixed. I think it's easier to just buy pre-mixed.
  23. I use 100% soy wax with a universal additive. I heat the additive first at 200 degrees, then lower my temp to around 175 add my wax and wait for it to cool to around 95-100 degrees to add fo and pour. I add my dye at any time. My soy wax has a smoother surface when poured at a lower temp. I poured Cherry slush yesterday and it was super strong. I was adding my fo at about 170 degrees and it seems that adding the fo at a lower temp it kept a stronger scent. I think the higher temps burn out the fo's. I agree with others, you have to test your wax with fo's and see what works best.
