deputy6512
OK guys. I am trying out the 16oz apothecary with Peaks Amish Harvest. I tried one with one 51-z wick with no luck. Second try was with one 60z and it smoked to high heaven!! I have never had a wick produce so much black soot in such a short period of time. So I blew it out, let it set back up, then re-lit. Did the same thing. Now I am trying 2 44-32z and doing fine. My question is why did the 60z smoke so darn bad? Anyone else ever had that happen? Trish
Have you tried double wicking that jar? I have to double wick mine. Also, that's a pretty heavy oil, even at 6% sometimes it's too much.
deputy6512
Trish- I am trying two wicks now...two 44-32z and so far so good. I just couldn't believe how bad the 60z smoked:( I was really wanting to get away with one wick, especially since I have never double wicked before...guess there is a first time for everything!!! Candle Man
I always double wick any container over 3" to get the best burn.
