gottabt
Hi,Does anyone know how to thin liquid dye? I have one color that has gotten so thick that it will not bind to the wax. It seems like it is binding to the fo and not letting either mix into the wax. This is completely new to me. I have never had a problem before with this wax, fo, dye combo so I am relatively sure that it is the dye creating the problem. I have tried adding vybar and stirring and stirring and stirring until my arm is ready to fall off. Any help is appreciated.
Sara
Yikes. I would reccomend getting some new dye. I'm not sure what goes in to making the liquid dyes, so I don't know if it *can* be thinned. But for consistancy of product, I'd purchase some new dyes.
Kaybee23
I am not totally sure about this, so maybe someone else will come along and offer another answer. I have heard that a few drops of mineral oil will thin it out a bit.
Scented
What happens if you warm the dye a bit? I've had some get a little thick, but if it sits on my oven surface for a few minutes, it seems to help.
