Auntie S
Has anyone ever seen the mason jar lamps. They have a string of mini lights inside and is filled with pot pourri. I have seen them somewhere and can't remember where. I've searched and searched with no luck. I would love to know how to make them. Any help would be greatSandy
kandlekrazy
I had this one bookmarked in case I ever decided to try it! LOL...I don't know when I'd ever have time!http://www.theartfulcrafter.com/mason-jar-1.html
Auntie S
Couldn't find any pictures on there. Those sound neat, but the ones I'm looking for have pot pourri in them. I pot pourri ones probably be cheaper to make also. Thanks for that link, lots of good stuff on there.Sandy
SatinDucky
I've never seen them in a mason jar, but my mom has one a friend of hers made. It's basically what you describe but it's in a large floral vase. Then it has a colored doily tied on top to keep the potpourri in and let the scent out. I picked up a mini set of lights a couple Christmases ago to try it, but never got around to it.I found this video showing how to make a similar one. It's very poor quality for a video but you'll still get the idea. I don't know if there's supposed to be sound or not....LOL

Auntie S
Yeah, SatinDucky that is kind of like the ones I saw, but with the mason jar, you use a smelly jelly lid. Thanks for the video
gingerinarkansas
http://www.allfreecrafts.com/homemade-gifts/canning-jar-lamp.shtmlDon't know if this is what you're looking for. It's an actual lamp using a quart size mason jar and you can fill with whatever. Ginger
FunFlames
I have a few of them.... let me look for the link to where I got them.OK... the link I have is non-existant at this time.... let me go look for a box.... I am strikin' out tonight. I couldn't find my original box so I took a few pics instead.I took mine apart once to rearrange the potpourri. There is a short string of "cool" burning lights. Like on a christmas tree. Wrapped around a thick cardboard tube. It is hollow. Then they put the potpourri in after with the scent. I also have the refresher oil. They are very nice. I was not as much help as I had hoped to be... but hopefully I helped a bit. If you have any question... feel free to ask.
