netje
Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to buy freezer paper? Can you get it in bulk somewhere or can you buy it at a local grocery? Is is called freezer paper?
jrogers397
I get mine at a local restaurant supply house, mine is called Gordons Food Service and allows walk in customers but most areas have a similar store available, it comes in big rolls and lasts forever but is definitely cheaper per foot to buy in bulk. Hope that helps some.Janis
Meridith
I would have thought that a place like Sam's would carry this. But not the one in my town. After looking all over for it, I found it at my local Safeway. It comes in a very large size too.

dgotts1@yahoo.com
I get ine at Wal-mart. So far they have had the best price.
sudsnwicks
I just get mine at the grocery store. One roll is quite a lot, I don't need to buy that often, so it's not really necessary finding a bulk source.
sudsnwicks
Oh and it's just called Freezer Paper. The brand I get is Reynolds. It can be in the canning section, or it can be with the sandwich baggies.
Carrie
They have huge rolls of it at the Costco near me but I just buy it at Wal-Mart in the small rolls.

sudsnwicks
No Costco or Sams near me - but we do have a WalMart. I don't have any of these three. An ordinary supermarket will do too.
Meridith
Our Walmart does not carry it. I was surprised to find out they don't.
Scent Cellar
Our Super Walmart carries the huge roll and also the smaller roll. But I hate shopping at Walmart.
pjb31apb
I currently use the boxes that CF sends their gallon F-jugs in. I cut them in half lengthwise and then I retape the flaps so that the box is smooth on the inside. Et Voila! I have two molds to play with. I use this http://www.pospaper.com/24x24bupash.htmlThis paper is GREAT!! Very thick and sturdy. Holds up very well to soaping and I think it was a pretty good deal considering how I use it. I cut the paper in half and if I am careful when unmolding, I can get more than one use out of it. HTH.
Carrie
pjb31apb, I just have to tell you that it'd take some guts to order from POS Paper. Around here, people us P.O.S. when they are trying to say Piece Of Sh*t. POS. LMAO. Thanks for the giggle.

Kaylors Kreations
My walmart doesn't carry it anymore, it didn't sell so they pulled it, replaced the space with these awesome 2 1/2gallon bags. I get mine at our Albertson's since among the groceries that carry it, they have the best price. And yup its a giant roll of Reynold's Brand for like 4$ or so
bells4shells
Does anyone know of anywhere online that you can buy it in sheets instead of a roll? I've looked at a few restaurant supply sites and the shipping is outrageous! Just curious if anyone has found anything at a decent price. sudsnwicks
Jadewicks, the store mentioned in post #14 sells them in sheets.Freezer paper:http://www.pospaper.com/freezer-24-24-sheets.htmlOr butcher paper:http://www.pospaper.com/24x24bupash.html

pjb31apb
I will say this one thing about them and that is this...I got the sheets of paper and the box they sent it in is about 10 inches longer than the paper. When they packed it up, they didn't put anything in the box to keep the paper from shifting or to support the shape of the box so one end of the box (but not the paper)was smashed and you could see into the box. Other than that though, no complaints!
